"We had the loveliest stay at Alpenglow Aerie! We were two families with 5 children staying over the Thanksgiving holiday. The house is beautifully decorated and has the most spectacular views of the mountains and lake. It was the perfect place to unwind after a hike or bike ride. "I booked here thinking it was at Stateline, which would’ve been perfect because we were going to Lake Tahoe for the Eric Church concert. It’s up the road from all the action, definitely not a short walk away, but for a fairly secluded location, it was nice. Since it’s right near Heavenly, it’s probably a great place to stay in the winter if you ski. We stayed in a King suite which was roomy, comfortable, and well- appointed. The front desk staff was helpful when we checked in/out. It’s valet-only which was a drag the next morning when it was time to check out. Everybody was lined up waiting to get their vehicles so maybe there should be more than two employees retrieving cars during that time. And it would’ve been nice if complimentary coffee/tea was available in the lobby we waited for our turn with the valets."

"Beautiful hotel, located in the heart of South Lake Tahoe with shopping and hiking right there. There was a live band in the center of the mall on Friday and Sat nights. Lots of activities, a kid's center and a small restaurant. Our room had a full kitchen and a lovely bathroom with a large sauna/bathtub. The bed was comfortable, not too soft and not too hard."
