"This was my first time in sheffield on business and I was pleasantly surprised. I couldn’t fault anything. I was super comfortable, everything was spotlessly clean, the staff were friendly and my room was huge with a long desk that was perfect for working at. And it was a great location. "When we arrived no one was at the desk when we got closer it was a self checkin when I started the receptionist came out and greeted us then she helped with the rest. When we were going into the dining area we had to wait for staff to approach us to be given us a table there were 3 people at the bar who looks like arguing amongst themselves who is going to come and get us the table. "Lovely hotel, the staff are amazing, a credit to the hotel chain, you feel welcomed immediately as guests. Beautiful inside and out lovely and clean by amazing housekeeping staff. The only thing I'd change, is the food menu and some dining recccomendations for guests. In the bar area, to do laid back dining like scampi and normal chips, (not skin on) not everyone likes these and thats all that's available. "Our favourite Sheffield hotel, at the moment. It is set in a beautiful location on the quayside but still easy to walk to the city centre. Cars are safe in the carpark at a reasonable rate - £8.00 for 24 hours. Our room was amazing and had 2 double beds with a bath/ shower and tea making facilities/ iron & ironing board. "Good comms on the phone before I arrived. Kindly suggested that I park at the secure NCP car park next door as there had been some theft recently, which was cheap enough. The room I was given had been smoked in (not the hotels fault) - the guys on the reception immediately swapped me to another room with no quibbling which was great. Hotel could do with a couple of touch ups, but it was clean and friendly and an absolute bargain compared to other options. Very good breakfast too"

"Very disappointing to arrive on site a 1845 and discover that there was no restaurant facilities and no bar available for a drink. The booking confirmation stated that both were open 11 till late, but it's actually 6pm when the restaurant closes. There is an expensive shop open to buy student type food, but we didnt fancy pot noodle when we were hoping to be dining in the restaurant. Very misleading information. "
