I took a chance and booked us a location that was off the touristy spot where all the big hotels were - so glad I did - VUE is a hidden gem. We took to walking around the Hutong neighborhoods right away, my father loved his morning walks in Houhai Park which was right behind the hotel. "Lovely place near Jingshan Park. Super cute room with kettle AND teapot (and 2 choices of loose tea). Rooms face quiet courtyard entered from lobby - good place to sit on sunny day. Had yummy dinner in restaurant on my last night. All staff were very nice and helpful."
