I took a chance and booked us a location that was off the touristy spot where all the big hotels were - so glad I did - VUE is a hidden gem. We took to walking around the Hutong neighborhoods right away, my father loved his morning walks in Houhai Park which was right behind the hotel. "Lovely hotel with all the facilities one would need for a short break. The location was great, few minutes walk to shopping centre and all major tourist attractions. Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again"

"The entire property seemed clean, well-maintained. It was difficult to find the hutong (alley) because the sign bearing the hutong's name was on the western side of the hutong wall, facing east, and I walked from the west looking for it. =)"

"The room was good enough for me, all i needed for a solo traveller. No english speaking on reveption tho so need the translator. Not too much within walking distance so good job taxi's are reasonably priced. To be fair everything in beijing is quite far from one another"
