Tucked between Chichester and Portsmouth on the Hampshire coast, Emsworth is a picturesque sailing town steeped in maritime history. Once a thriving centre for oyster fishing and milling, its harbour and millponds remain at the heart of the town today, lined with weatherboarded cottages, historic pubs, and a bustling quayside that comes alive with dinghies, paddleboarders, and wading birds at low tide.

With its independent shops, welcoming pubs, and array of excellent seafood restaurants, Emsworth has a relaxed, village charm that draws visitors back time and again. It's also a fantastic base for exploring the surrounding area, with scenic coastal walks along the Emsworth Millponds and Hampshire coastline, easy access to Chichester Harbour for sailing and wildlife spotting, and the vibrant cities of Chichester and Portsmouth just a short drive away.

Access to the property is via a smartlock system, giving convenience to arrive whenever suits you. Instructions will be sent 24 hours prior to your stay.

Inside, the open-plan kitchen and dining area offers a sociable heart to the home, ideal for morning coffee or evening meals together. Just through from here is a separate, cosy living space, where a corner sofa invites you to sink in and unwind by the warmth of a working fireplace — perfect for chillier evenings. Water views stretch directly over the millpond from the living room, setting a tranquil backdrop for relaxing evenings in.

Upstairs, the master bedroom continues the theme, with the same uninterrupted millpond views to wake up to each morning. A second bedroom offers comfortable accommodation for family or friends, with a well-appointed bathroom serving both rooms.

Step outside and you'll find your own private sanctuary. A pergola-shaded patio offers shelter and shade, with built-in bench seating creating the perfect spot for al fresco dining or a lazy afternoon with a book. When you're ready to truly unwind, slip into the hot tub and soak up the peaceful surroundings, with a picturesque pond adding to the serene, nature-filled setting.

Whether you're seeking a romantic escape, a peaceful family break, or simply a slower pace of life by the water, this millpond-side retreat offers a rare combination of comfort, character, and one of Emsworth's most sought-after views.
