"Arrived at the Mews and had difficulty finding keys as instructions were not very clear. I had paid extra for a parking permit and no permit was provided in the unit, had to pay again to park car on street as we were warned that they monitor these streets day and night. We booked this unit as we needed to do some laundry, it lists a washer and dryer in the amenities to find out we only had a washing machine and no dryer. Tried calling the housekeeping number and did not get an answer till 9am...

"Regrettably, we had to leave swiftly after the internal security door to our apartment failed and we had an intruder enter our apartment whilst we were in it!! This was very distressing and concerning being a family with a small child. Subsequently , we reported it to the Police (and owner) as internal security failings compromised our stay and we had to leave earlier than planned through fear of who else may have been able to gain access to us and our child. "Classic residence, huge spacious and comfortable. Fully self contained with all you need. Great location and amazing views over the outer harbour. Short walk along waterfront to bars and restaurants. Clean and well maintained. Upper floor, up stairs no elevator. Small bathroom. Exterior under renovation, but did not inconvenience us. Overall fully recommended, exceeded expectations, would suit family of 4, with space for more if needed. "

"We stayed at the Imperial for 1 night and were welcomed by friendly, helpful staff. We had a little trouble finding our room as we were unaware of the size of the hotel, but staff helped us find our way. The foyer entrance and palm court lounge are both stunningly beautiful and amazing examples of Victorian architecture and both had breathtaking panoramic views over Torbay, The hotel is incredibly grand with beautiful high vaulted ceilings and cornice work. Our room was on the garden floor and we had a patio door leading to the gardens, which was an unexpected and pleasant surprise. The room was a little dated, but was comfortable, clean, and had everything we needed, including tea/coffee making facilities with high quality items for us to use. We opted to have breakfast included with our stay and the variety on offer was excellent, with continental or cooked breakfast on offer and many other choices, we enjoyed eating breakfast looking out over the bay. We both really enjoyed our stay at the Imperial hotel and will definitely be recommending it to others visiting Torquay."
