This place is only good, certainly not excellent, because its location is very good( easy access to Cardiff, Bute Park and stadiums), it is very clean and the breakfasts are excellent.
However, the room and the ensuite were disappointingly small,especially for the price! Also, with the exception of the lovely breakfast girls, there was little warmth in the welcome at the main reception desk.Certainly, the least welcoming place we have stayed in for a while!

The room was clean but bathroom and the room itself looked tired and needed a bit of decorative attention. The veggie breakfast was good and there was plenty to choose from. The staff were polite and friendly.

Amazing breakfast and great staff in a beautiful small town. Great overall value but having stayed more than once I’d recommend the room upgrade. Other pubs walkable from the Dragon if you choose including one that shows sports just up the road. Food, drink and the setting at the Dragon are wonderfully ...
