Booked two rooms: one double twin room and one family room. The family room's top bunk bed was full of tiny hairs. The family room's bathroom also smelled like sewer when we went in. Not all staff were helpful.When I told them about smell they acted like they didn't understand it. I just didn't have any choice nearby. The Holiday Inn was sold out, and this property is the closest one to a wedding I had to attend.

We booked this hotel to attend a concert in Gelsenkirchen. The hotel rooms were clean and practical. The breakfast buffet includes ham, cheeses, bread, cereal, yogurt, and multiple coffee choices. The only criticism is the lack of sufficient parking at the hotel. There are other parking lots near the hotel but do not allow for parking at night. Ultimately, not having a hotel staff member to cover front desk duties after hours presents a risk, because what if a guest has an emergency and needs immediate assistance? Overall the stay was ok but it was nerve wracking finding parking at night.

Great location. Excellent front desk staff. Nice breakfast, although the breakfast bar is too small for the number of guests, it can get quite awkward trying to get your food. Would stay again!
