"Dipping pool in courtyard. Nobody ever used it or visible in the courtyard. One needs a study on public transit and be self-sufficient on goggle maps to get around. I had a loaded Vay-Ven transit card but no idea of Bus numbers to going where. No name streets only numbers. Even numbers going North/South and uneven numbers running EastWest. One block is half a mile Was forced to Walked miles daily. At the end I discovered collectivo vans to wave down for 23 pesos a ride. "

"Comfortable, clean, and spacious room with charming communal space with pool and dining area. The breakfast was SO good -- they served authentic Yucatecan cuisine as well as a very nice granola and yogurt with fruit. Generous and friendly staff. I very highly recommend! "

"We absolutely loved our time in Merida and staying at the CIGNO Hotel was perfect for us. A little removed from the Centro of town but easily walkable and completely safe, day or night. The hotel was absolutely lovely. 10 spacious rooms, excellent staff and food. We enjoyed breakfast each morning and had two dinners as well. The margaritas are exceptional. The entire staff is pleasant, helpful and knowledgeable. Would highly recommend and would definitely stay here again while visiting Merida!! "

The hotel is located equidistant between Parque Santa Lucia and the Plaza Grande where there is a good selection of restaurants and shopping. I felt very comfortable at this hotel and the surrounding neighborhood."

"Gran Hotel Panamerica, I am a fan! The hotel is recently remodeled/ in the process of remodeling and the common areas and rooms are elegant. They have an amazing breakfast that is included. The pool area is over the top... such a fine 3D mural on the wall of the pool it is worth a stop here just to see. All the staff was great, the price a fantastic value. Lastly, the hotel is in a quiet area and I slept without interruption. "
