Friendly welcome, offer a larger room as we were early, with superb views over the bay. Really close to beach, town and marina, but very quiet. Breakfast was self served and amazing choice and quality. Would definitely stay again.

Really enjoyed the stay at the Imperial. Staff were helpful and friendly. The hotel needed a little TLC but it must be difficult in this economic environment. Hotel is well placed in the town, views over the sea and 5 minutes walk to the town centre. The only thing that was bad, was the bed had seen better days and we both got up with bad backs.

Lovely old hotel with character ideally situated on the sea front,we had a superior room with small balcony to sit out on to enjoy the great views . Good size car park at very reasonable price. Excellent buffet breakfast. We had two 3 course evening meals, beautifully cooked,good service. Rooms a little dated,smallish bathroom but had everything needed. All the staff were cheery, friendly and helpful --we had a problem with the TV, the receptionist came up and sorted it straightaway. A very pleasant homely atmosphere,often lacking these days! We would definitely return .

The Imperial is a large “older” hotel, set right on the waterfront in 4 landscaped acres. The staff are wonderfully kind, helpful, and efficient. The food (we had breakfast and dinner) was very good, especially the breakfasts, with a large choice. We were very happy with and at the Imperial. However, we are very elderly and it turns out that 95% of the other guests were very elderly too, which was fine for us but might not be what a younger crowd is looking for.
