Friendly staff, very nice room with coffee machine and complementary drinks in the fridge. We had nice dinner and breakfast in the pub, was convenient for us to stay one night in the area. The only downside was the sofa bed was not so comfortable and really squeaky! But the kids slept ok and we appreciated being able to stay with our 2 kids in the room.

This hotel was a bit disappointing. The communal areas are nice, the rooms were quite plain. We were in a dog friendly family room that did not feel very clean or fresh. Bed was comfortable though. Most of the staff here are nice and friendly but all are very inefficient. Multiple staff seem to be mulling around, service is extremely slow.

Best hotel B&B! Extended our stay another night!

The Princess Royal is quite possibly my new favorite hotel bed and breakfast. The accommodations were beyond excellent. The room had air conditioning to beat the summer heat and was very comfortable and relaxing to stay in. We ended up booking a 2nd night because we were so pleased with our stay during the first night. The breakfast was great. They had a continental-style option to start and then a menu to order a fairly wide set of filling options, all included in the very reasonable rate. The staff were excellent, personable, and always looking to go the extra mile to make our stay memorable. Supper was extremely tasty and the pub food offerings generous in portion and flavor. I wish we had places like this in the States.

A great place to stay

Super rooms, everything you could need (fridge, iron, usb sockets, big TV, power shower, luxury toiletries, hangers, drawers, desk, chairs, aircon etc.). Lots of on-site parking, great food and excellent beer choice. Staff helpful and friendly and everything you could want for breakfast. Worth staying here.

Great for a short stay

Lovely room, we had bedroom, living room and large bathroom. We did have an issue on the second night, we arrived back at the hotel just after midnight, the electronic entry card was not working so we could not enter the hotel. They have an emergency out of hours number, I dialled it a number of times, only to go to answer phone. We waited in the car, luckily a member of staff appeared and let us in. that said, I would recommend this establishment, food and service of the best quality.

The perfect treat night location -indigent suite

Omg the indulgence suite is named well! I treated myself to a night on my own and it was pure heaven. The food was great, the staff very friendly smily and helpful and the suite was AMAZING. The bed !!! Wow -was the best nights sleep I’ve ever had and the bath..Omg-the bath 👌👌 I booked it for the bath especially and it did not disappoint! I cannot recommend this place highly enough and ladies treat yourself with or without a partner!! Seriously considering booking every couple of months for some ‘me time’ luxury.

Nice and Cosy

The facility was great, neat and comfy. My room was very spacious and well-maintained. There was some rattling on the corridor floor. The location is secure and quiet but the car park was pretty busy.
