"This hotel was very nicely situated on a road closed to vehicle traffic. Cafes and shopping surrounded us offering plenty of options. Cleanliness was a top priority for this hotel. The staff were kind and helpful. Our only complaint and this is a stretch.....is that we would have liked a lounge on the property. Otherwise, we recommend and plan to stay at this hotel in our future travel to Italy."

"It was a pleasure meeting everyone at Excelsior in AMALFI. We really enjoyed the great views from our hotel , the beautiful path ( with lots of stairs) that we used for getting to the marina ( no need to get a gim membership 😊) and mostly the friendliness of all employees plus all the great food that we tried. "FABULOUS hotel and wonderful staff! Can’t wait to bring more friends to experience this beautiful property! For elderly people with walking issues, this would be difficult for them! Without a car you need to walk 20 minutes to catch a bus which was very cheap to go to Amalfi town, Ravella, Positano and other cities around 30 minutes to 1hour…. car from Naples airport to this hotel was $200 euro. I would not attempt driving here as the roads are very narrow and motorbikes constantly whizzing around you! It takes an expert to safety drive around this area! Catching a ferry from Positano was $30 pp but worth experiencing! Breakfast was included each morning and the people working here were fabulous! The views on top of the hotel were gorgeous! This property is very small with only 13 rooms so you receive personal attention! We loved it!"

"Excellent location and great views but amenities were lacking, air conditioning was not working due to seasonal operations which led to uncomfortable sleeping situation. Electrical options for plug in devices was old, no usb ports. Had to request toilet paper as it was not replenished when room was cleaned, the suite has a lot of space but a very small flat screen tv that didn’t offer any other languages other than Italian, Place feels old and is in need of some updating. With some upgrades this place could be a 5 in the future."
