my parents had a wonderful stay at this hotel in Florence, just steps away from the Duomo — the location couldn’t be better! The rooms are surprisingly spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, always ready with a smile. And the cappuccino at breakfast was absolutely amazing! I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Firenze.
Such a cute hotel. Literally in the middle of EVERYTHING. You can walk out, make a right and the Milkeria is right there which was one of our favorite spots for espresso and crepes.
The shower got hot and cold a few times but it was fine. The only thing I wish the coffee machine to be available for longer hours. It’s only available from 8-11
It is a shared bathroom which wasn’t really an issue but it was always clean.
Definitely would come back again. It’s nothing fancy. Definitely old fashioned but the location is great.
Staff is friendly too
My cousin and I are on a backpacking trip and this was a wonderful place to stay. Perfect location to everything, very clean and very friendly staff! I highly recommend!
Lovely hotel, in a good location. Only one bathroom on the floor i was on which made things awkward at times. There was often a loud noise from a boiler or something that was one room away from mine that woke me up during the night several times, but otherwise a good experience.
We traveled as a family with our 2 teenage boys during Christmas. The location was great, just 2 mins from Duomo and right in the heart of many shops and restaurants. The checkin was smooth and great communication through whatsapp. We booked the quadruple room and it was quite spacious with a queenbed and 2 twin beds. The building is a 16th century building and it felt great to see the character in the room with 20ft ceilings, old paintings etc. there is no elevator which was not a big issue for us even with luggage but something to think about. The room cleaning was done everyday, wifi was super fast. There is also no ironbox but you can get one from reception on request. There are many pastry and gelato shops within quick walking distance and several great places for lunch and dinner.
The bathroom was new and renovated and was modern however rooms maintain their old 16th century charm - they are however clean and comfy and we had no issues.
All in all, a great stay.
Possibly the cleanest hotel I have ever stayed in. Staff were wonderful, room was comfortable, great location, silent at night. Couldn't have asked for a better place to stay.
Given that this was hostel-type accommodation with shared bathrooms and no breakfast, it was comfortable, clean, the room was excellent, and the location in central Florence was ideal.
The shared bathroom was really nice and clean. Loved the area and antiquity of the building, but it can get very loud at night due to the building’s location.
Amazing hotel! Front desk was super helpful, and the location was great for shopping & sightseeing. Definitely would stay here again! Heads up no elevator so pack light
Great stay! Shared bathroom/shower, but room had its own sink for me to use getting ready. Very clean, within walking distance from tourist attractions, and friendly staff.
Hotel is clean and well maintained
The room was orderly and functional.
Location is a plus for me
In Europe 2nd floor really means 4 flights of stairs so be prepared to pull your luggage quite a ways.
Very safe and secure property, beautiful historic room with wonderful huge windows to look out onto the street below, very kind and helpful staff from housecleaner to front desk. Gave great recommendations for things to do in town and very gracious overall. Great property!
Cute small hotel big a big room an enough space for three. Free tea and coffee, no breakfast and located perfect in the center of everything to see in Florence
Great location, steps from Il Duomo, old property refurbished, great feel and character. Did not like noise and shared bathrooms part. Reception and staff were amazing, for the price and location, fully recommend!!!
Staff were really friendly and check in was smooth.
Details were sent on how to find the property which was a bit complicated only thing missing was that you needed to ring doorbell before you got keys ( we worked it out)
Really central for Florence, great restaurants nearby.
Downside 4 flights of stone steps and no lift also shared toilet and the shower is literally a cubicle in corner of room
Very most special historic place. Other than wardrobe door falling off and getting military police called for yelling when it angered me for I was exhausted hoping to shower and go to bed. I for a moment mistakenly thought it was OK to let off some steam for a moment since other guests my first two nights woke me up many times talking very loudly at 2am, 3am, and 4am with no regard for quiet hours nor the sleep of other guests. I was charged 100 Euros for the wardrobe door falling off upon check out which I felt was unfair for the employee the day before I had spoke with about it said everything would be fine and not to worry about it. I wasn't the only guest who also experienced paranormal phenomenon in this most historic facinating building nearly 500 years old for on my 3rd night when coming out of shower at about 2am, a young women stepped out of her room crying that she'd seen a ghost. I told her it's OK we're just human I cry sometimes too. My stay would had been perfect had I not had a trouble with the wardrobe door falling off sending me into anger and anxiety. It was so horrible having military police at my door dressing me down and then having to pay 100 Euros while put in great fear which was beyond wrong and bad. If you're interesting in Machiavelli, Medici's, and historical Florentine, then a stay in Bavaria hotel will be perfect for it was beyond fascinating to be honest.

I never forget this trip!
I was in Florence for a week studying. and I had to find a place that was both comfortable and affordable. I was a little nervous about the shared bathroom situation. but there was two on my floor and it wasn't an issue at all really. the people who work here were always friendly and helpful. I really have no issues. I had an awesome stay.
Great old property and the staff were wonderful. The location was superb, walking distance to central Firenze. You could see the Duomo lit up at night from our window! My only criticism is that the air conditioning was not that affective in the building. But it is to be expected in these old buildings. Great hotel though, would highly recommend.
I absolutely LOVED IT. It’s located at the second floor of this building or palace. Upon arrival, you KNOW it will be classic, detailed chic…Elegant with details. I loved my bedroom and their bathrooms!!! Thank you Vincenzo for your warm and friendly welcoming. He made sure I was ok at all times.
You have coffee and tea in the kitchen area. It’s close to everything since it’s centered in the city.
