Florence Hotel with Lovely Staff

Stayed in two rooms with toddler twins, mother and nanny in another room. Comfortable beds, decent breakfast (eggs, coffee, fruit, cereal, juice, yogurt, breads). Andreana and Sarah were very nice, professional, and Andreana went the extra mike helping with train tickets, and taxis. Sarah helped with ordering food. Great location, and would stay there again.

The service, especially by Elizabeth, the owner, was amazing! The room was very comfortable; breakfast delicious; and location very walkable. Luggage storage was huge plus.

Nice cozy place. Nothing too fancy, but everything was clean and comfortable. Friendly staff. Sara at front desk was very helpful. Made us feel welcomed and gave lots of good tips to navigate through the city. Would recommend this place !

Very clean, updated, modern room. Staff was excellent, very professional and friendly, even went out of their way to give us packed breakfast since we were checking out early. It worked perfectly for our visit where we needed to be close to train station and tour pick up. Not too long of a walk to the center of Florence either. Great hotel!

I am very picky about hotels and was so happy we chose this one. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful and speak several languages. The rooms were very clean and the breakfast was great! We walked all around the city from the hotel. Great location! I highly recommend staying here.

Hosts were very friendly and helpful and welcoming. The place was clean, comfortable, and the room was adequate. Breakfast was great! And hosts were helpful with directions to various highlights in the area. Only downside was that the area was kind of sketchy - and it was a pretty long walk to many of the things we wanted to see.

We had a fantastic stay at the Luxor Hotel, and I want to especially highlight the excellent service we received. Sarah was incredibly kind and went above and beyond to assist us, making our stay so much smoother. Additionally, the gentleman at the front desk (whose name I unfortunately can’t recall) was also very helpful and welcoming. Their professionalism and friendliness truly made a difference for us, and we are so grateful for their assistance. The breakfast was another highlight—absolutely delicious! My daughter especially loved it, and it was the perfect way to start our mornings. Overall, the service, comfort, and quality at the Luxor Hotel exceeded our expectations. We highly recommend it and look forward to returning in the future!

The staff and owner were welcoming and friendly. The location is great.10 minutes away from the train station. Breakfast - a variety of choices and fresh juice. Would go back again. Disappointed with the breakfast to go as we only got a croissant. Would have been nice to have some orange juice, fruit and cake.

Small bathroom, window is like a wall panel which is a street level so you can’t open it to get fresh air. Place is dark and gives you that “you are in the basement” of a house. Other than that, good place to stay for couple of days.. close to train and trolley. Very accommodating team.

Our stay at the Hotel Luxor was excellent. The location was 5 min walk from the train station and 10-15 mins walk to the Duomo plaza. The lady who helped us check in was absolutely kind and even suggested what we go see in our brief stay in Florence. I appreciated the fact that this hotel had an elevator. It was small but it beats taking our luggage up the stairs. The breakfast was also delicious. Lots of pastries, eggs, bread, water, juice, and coffee. What really left an impression was after we checked out, they let us leave our luggage there so we can explore. When we came back 5 hours later, my husband and I were exhausted and the host offered us cold water. I really appreciated that. If we ever go back to Florence, I would definitely stay here!

We and the kids struggle to sleep at night due to AirCon not keeping the temperature below 25c though it was set at 21c. I think it was due to its capacity being too low for the studio. It was in summer - very hot day. Elizabth was very helpful.

I recently stayed at the Luxor Hotel in Florence and was thoroughly disappointed with my experience. First and foremost, the location is far from the city center, making it inconvenient for exploring the beautiful sights of Florence. Despite its high rating of 8.8, I found the hotel to be grossly overrated. The lack of complementary supplies in the room was frustrating—there were no toothpaste, toothbrush, tissue box, or even bottled water. To make matters worse, there were ants in both the room and the toilet, which was absolutely unacceptable. When I approached Expedia to change the hotel, the receptionist became visibly upset, even though they were my booking source. This made an already unpleasant situation even more uncomfortable. Additionally, I felt that I paid double the value for what the hotel was actually worth. The breakfast options were extremely limited, and the bar attendant was rude to my wife, serving her a dirty glass. Overall, if you want to enjoy Florence, please do not choose this hotel. It was a terrible experience, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
