Hotel Mercure Firenze Centro is a convenient to the Florence Train statio but, as a result, suffers from being on a noisy street which can certainly be crowded and a little dirty. Once inside, however, everything is nice and clean and the staff were friendly and willing to help with whatever you need.

Overall, our one night stay was terrific. Being so close to the train station was fabulous - made getting in and out of Florence very easy. Room was quite large, bed was very comfortable, my only comment would be that the whole environment was a bit sterile. Could not have been an easier location though.

Hotel itself was good, however the area was very questionable. Directly outside of the hotel we witness homeless people fighting, encampments, uncleanliness, and did not feel safe each time we entered/left.

Excellent hotel. One and half blocks from Santa Maria Novella train station. Very spacious room, clean, modern, mattress, pillows, sheets were very comfortable, big screen T.V. Excellent shower and complementaries. My room was very quiet. The “Privilege Rooms” have the mini bar consumption; free. Excellent attention from all attendants at the hotel.

Our room carpet is full of stains, shower room design was lousy ,water keep leaking out make the bathroom floor always wet after shower. Whole hotel only have one iron, if you need to use must bring your clothing down to reception iron.

SATURDAY BREAKFAST STARS AT 7:30 AM, VERY LATE, THIS MESSES UP THE GUEST’S ENTIRE SCHEDULE AND WE EVEN CANT HAVE COFFEE BECAUSE OF IT. ANOTHER SITUATION IS THAT THEY HAVE A COFFEE MACHINE ON THE GROUND FLOOR FOR GUESTS AND THEY DONT TURN IT ON AT THE TIME TO HAVE CAFFEE IN THE AFTERNOON, THEY ONLY ALLOW IT TO BE TURNED ON FROM 10 PM. NOW I ASK, WHY HAVE A COFFEE MACHINE IF YOU CANT TURN IT ON AT THE TIME APROPRIATE??

Room was 403. Faced stair well. The rating is saved by the great location. Hôtel Is newly renovated however rooms have a few issues-carpet was dirty, the hotel steam cleaned while we were out for the day. A few design issues-the tap-spout on the sink doesn’t reach the middle of the basin and water spills over. The shower leaked badly. We could see that previous work had been done. Beds way too hard for North Americans. Still a great location to be able to walk to all central attractions.

Disaster

This was a very disappointing experience. We were given a room on the first floor that smelled awful, had filthy carpet and sofa, a bathroom door that didn’t lock without a fight, and a shower that didn’t drain. After encountering all of these faults, we finally approached the desk and were happy to have been switched yo another room that was quite the opposite. Thankfully this made our stay more comfortable. Sadly, we cannot look past the experience from the first room we were given and hope the hotel doesn’t make a habit of assigning people to rooms in these conditions.

Es una pena filtramos que el hotel tuviera aire acondicionado y nunca hubo con un calor tremendo A mucho insistir nos prestaron un ventilador El personal agradable y cordial menos el que nos recibió a la llegada Le pedimos ir al baño al llegar , después de un viaje largo y dijo que después del chek in y su trato nada agradable ,es un joven de ojos claro de la recepción, bastante grosero e irrespetuoso Por lo demás todo bien solo estuvimos un día y no coincidimos más
