The hotel has done a renovation. The lobby, and public areas still had the old world Italian charm and ambience that would be expected. However, the room redesign lost all charm. Once stepping into the room, I could have easily been at any Marriott or Hilton. Disappointed on that level. Staff were professional, helpful and accommodating. Did have an issue with tickets purchased via the concierge. Guide never showed, tickets were not valid and had to buy additional tickets. Still hoping for a resolution. As this was the 4th stay, and having experienced the redesign of the rooms, the next visit to Florence may warrant consideration of another hotel.

This hotel was nice and quaint in a good location. My problem was that no water bottles were provided in the room except for one glass bottle that we must refill down the hall when needed. For the price we paid per night, I did not feel this was appropriate.

The hotel is very good, excellent location, you can walk to any interesting location very quickly. Amazing service and very good breakfast. If you go by car, you better call the hotel because instructions to reach the hotel are not easy and not a simple GPS route.

A Truly Exceptional Stay at NH Collection Firenze Porta Rossa From the moment we arrived, everything about this hotel exceeded expectations. The location could not be better. It's perfectly central and walkable to all the beautiful sights, shopping, and incredible restaurants in Florence. The staff were outstanding. From the front desk to the bellmen who handled our luggage, everyone was friendly, attentive, and eager to help. They called cabs whenever we needed, offered excellent local recommendations, and always greeted us with warmth. A special mention goes to Chiara at the front desk, who was the cherry on top. She was professional, welcoming, and simply excellent in every way. Our room was spotless, comfortable, and beautifully kept. The housekeeping staff maintained everything with care and attention to detail. The food was delicious, the music in the lobby set a wonderful atmosphere, and the overall cleanliness and elegance of the hotel made our stay unforgettable. We truly loved everything about this hotel. Gorgeous, well-run, and filled with a team that makes you feel cared for. The hotel is very well-located (though Florence is compact and walkable and this will be true for most hotels). It is in the heart of the high end shopping district. And just a short walk to most of the major sites. The staff was friendly and helpful. The building is historic but updated.
