Nice apartment close to everything

The apartment was nice and within a walking distance to restaurants, cafes and most places of interests. The Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore is only 7 to 10 minutes walk and so is the Museum, the Bell Tower (over 400 steps to the top) and the Baptistery of San Giovanni. All worth the visit. Apartment was fairly clean but the air conditioning did not reach the bedroom but sleeping with the windows open kept it cool enough. Be aware though if you are visiting from the US, even though it is in the first floor, you still have to climb some steep steps to the apartment, this is because in Italy, buildings start the count at floor 0 (zero). Overall it was a great stay, check in was easy as they started to communicate a few days ahead.

As described!

The stay was as described and that is very important to me. Check in was confusing, but we figured out the doors to access. The host was quick to respond and helped us with checking in and what not. It is an old building and oddly shaped, but still a wonderful and quiet place to stay. It was hard to cool the place in June, but the cooler and fans helped a lot. Only 10 minutes to the Duomo!

Worst Vacation Place Ever Stayed

Please read:…We got to Florence and had to pick up the keys from a bar about a mile away from the place (walking). Then there was no key to the front door and I was sent the wrong code to the keypad. Nobody answered at the phone number given and the bar workers only gave out keys, they know nothing about the place. Maybe the broken key they gave me was for the door (see attached). We waited outside for a long time and Nobody answered at VRBO either (see attached screenshot). We had to wait for someone to come out to get in. When we finally found the correct door(no room number given, very confusing setup), had to deal with dark hallways, steep stairs, false doors, and very hectic to just get into the room with all our luggage.WiFi password never worked so we had to buy extra data plans for all of us. No help from host, still kept sending the wrong information.Sink faucet wasn’t attached but fortunately it still worked (see attached). Had no toilet paper besides the 2 small rolls and of course we ran out.By FAR, the worst vacation place I’ve ever stayed in, and I’ve probably stayed at over 500 vacation places.
