I booked this apartment four months before our arrival date and pay for it in full. I had occasional conversation with the property owner over the months regarding check-in time, etc. I contacted him a few days before arrival to confirm check-in time at 3 PM which is what he agreed to. On the date of arrival we arrived at the apartment at 3 PM sharp. We waited for the property auditor arrive. But after 20 minutes, I called him. No answer. I then called him again. No answer. I tried to contact him through Vrbo messaging. No response. I contacted VRBO. I got hung up on or disconnected three or four times at least while on the phone for over an hour and a half trying to find out what it happened to my reservation and why the owner decided not to respond. One and a half hours after our scheduled arrival time, the owner responded through Vrbo that the booking was canceled and I would have to find another lodging using the Vrbo service. Fear agreed to refund my money, but that is a little consolation when you were in Florence Italy the day before Easter with thousands of tourists. I strongly recommend to avoid this property as the property owner evidently has no respect for travelers wishing to stay in Florence. And someone that does not respond after receiving payment. Is total trash.
