Super Sweet Studio Steps To The Beach!

We are excited to bring you the newest and cutest members of The RatherShacks family: Itty Shack and Bitty Shack. The concept came to us through customer feedback, extensive research, and many drinks. Riding the successful trend of our Tiny Shack and the increased interest in smaller, affordable beachside dwelling, we crafted these twin units just for your enjoyment in their own little compound right in the middle of the rest of our Shacks. If you have been inducted into the Sumo Wrestler Hall of Fame, or your significant other can install the Christmas star atop the tree without a ladder then this is not the place for you. Each of these micro units is approximately 11ft x 12 ft and sport a queen-size bed for your comfort, and brand new tile and glass appointed bathrooms, along with funky ceiling lines and headboards. An eat–in bistro style table or Al-Fresco set of chairs outside will give you the max relax dining experience you have been searching for. A dedicated outdoor shower (one for Itty and one for Bitty) lets you wash away the sand and surf, just in time to grill the burgers at the shared community grill in the back yard. Efficiency style kitchenettes allow you to make a gourmet pot of coffee, toast that bagel, or microwave the leftovers from one of the many culinary gems our island has to offer(oh, and did we mention all this is 15 minutes from the award winning restaurants in downtown Charleston?).

Beautiful property

We loved this spot, close to the beach, not a far walk from all the stores and restaurants on the island, just a perfect little spot. We will definitely be back to stay here again in the future.

Bitty Shack stay

It was a great stay. We loved the Bitty Shack. We loved how close to the beach it was. Also how fresh it looked, all of the buildings look like they were just painted. It was very clean, inside and out and decorated very welcoming and cute. We will definitely be back

Exactly what we needed for a get-away. Clean, tidy and cozy. I was slightly concerned for my 6'3" husbande but the ceiling is plenty high and the shower head was high as well. Great location.

Close to town and beach! Location was perfect. Place was just as described and had everything we needed for our week including beach chairs and towels. We loved the little grocery store Bert’s and visited multiple times. Everything was in walking distance. Charleston was close and so many things to do. We will be back. Owners were very good at responding to questions!

Fabulous in Folly

Katt is an amazing host and every interaction, whether digital or in person, reinforced why she has so many great reviews. I stayed in the Bitty Cottage and it was perfect! My cottage was spotless and incredibly comfortable. I highly recommend Katt as a host and regardless of cottage you stay in, every need a traveler could want has been considered and provided. Perfectly Lovely

It was a perfectly lovely stay. Probably less than a 2-minute walk to the beach. Close to everything: groceries, restaurants, shopping etc. Self check-in was fast and simple. The space is thoughtfully stocked and beautifully decorated. It has everything you would find in a long term hotel suite plus more! They even supplied beach towels and chairs, although I brought my own. This is going to be my go-to place to stay when on Folly. What a gem!

We loved this room! We were in for a day at the beach and an overnight. The Bitty Shack was perfect for our needs and provided a surprising backyard oasis that was just ours. Check-in was easy. Katt sent a helpful video on how to get to our front door and instructions were clear, concise, and accurate.We loved sitting on the patio with a cocktail. The room was cozy and clean. We will definitely be back for a longer stay in the neat future.

Great place, great location!

Bitty Shack was perfect! My daughter and I stayed at Bitty Shack for 5 days and it was amazing. Brandon space, cleanly, great neighborhood and perfect location in Folly Beach. The property owner is easy to reach and very accommodating.

The room is a described and pictured and for two people is it all you need. The owner made great use of the space. The location is fantastic, easily walkable to the beach and local bars/restaurants and downtown Charleston is an easy drive. The outdoor space at the unit is an added bonus, having a relaxing outdoor hangout space in the evenings was perfect. The outdoor shower and hose kept all the sand out of the unit. Definitely recommend Rathershacks!
