"The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the room, which had apparently been recently renovated, was very nice and clean. My only negative comment is that the shower curtain is too short and allows shower spray to get onto the bathroom floor way too much. I'm giving this motel 5 stars, assuming that this minor problem will be quickly fixed. We'll be back."

"We live in the city and are urban people. We also enjoy older homes, so we greatly appreciated the location and quality of the buildings. The reception area is warm and inviting, and the Grossmans restaurant attached to this hotel was a big bonus, as we enjoyed a nice lunch with their spacious outdoor seating. The entire area has character and charm. (With that said, I think it's appropriate to note that it is next to a railroad station, so there is a bit of transience. This does not bother us, but the dynamic scene and some street noise may not be for everyone.) But: back to our room and experience. We really liked our room with the balcony overlooking the courtyard in the newer of the two buildings. Some may prefer to be in the original building but I didn't see the rooms there. Parking was very easy. Staff was helpful. Would definitely stay here again!"
