"The cottage was lovely, particularly the large kitchen and the outside terrace with seating. We were there during a heatwave so it was great to be able to sit outside in the evening in such a peaceful location. The walk at the back was level and shadey. There was plenty for young children in the area and we went to Canonhall farm and then on another day to the Canonhall gardens and museum. Wentworth Castle,Yorkshire Sculpture Park and Elsecar Heritage centre were all hits for both adults and children. It was good having ensuites in each bedroom. The grandparents were able to opt for the one bedroom which is separated from the other 5 bedrooms, allowing parents and children to be closer together. It is worthwhile checking out the configuration of the cottage to ensure that it suits your group. We enjoyed the catering by Andrew Bradley providing a wonderful birthday celebration dinner for 8 adults."

"A lovely cottage with beautiful features, we loved the spacious feel and the games room was ideal for the boys while the girls laid in the lovely hot tub, lovely Owners with such great help regarding walks around the area Thnkyou for a lovely stay x The only negative would be it’s very warm upstairs and need more fans in the rooms, but that wouldn’t stop us coming back at all."

"Great location for us! The property has more than enough space, both inside and out. It was absolutely spotless, finished to a very high standard, and had everything you could possibly need. Whatever you think of, they’ve got it! We had a fantastic stay and would definitely recommend it."

"We stayed at the Old Mill VRBO property for a week in August and were very happy with the accommodations. The home was clean and in a nice quiet area. It was a very nice neighborhood and a short walking distance to a few pubs, restaurant, food Co Op and bakery. The property has a reserved parking space. We enjoyed walking the neighborhood and enjoyed meeting a few of the neighbors walking their dogs. Each couple enjoyed a private bedroom and bathroom. The extra toilet on the first floor was an added bonus. It was a great area to stay in while we were in town to attend a family wedding and explore the beautiful area.Ben, the host was great to work with and very responsive. We would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend it to others."

"Fabulous property, plenty of room for parking. All appliances and crockery/cookware that you might need. House and all bedding/towels spotlessly clean. Great location, many walks and pubs nearby. Special mention for the nearest pub Ye Olde Mustard Pot. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. We will definitely be staying again."
