The VH is all being remodeled. The management was super friendly. The space was very spacious. A cute bar in the back opened until 9 most nights. Cute puppies from time to time from Ruffstart. We got to keep some in our room one night to help out as they had no place to go - so fun. Got to meet the owners before we left they are super nice. Hope to come back and visit again soon.

New night club opened up adjacent to property. Shook the entire place until 5 am Friday and Saturday several calls to police did nothing. Not the problem of the Victoria House, just unfortunate. This was the grand opening, perhaps it will calm down in the future. Love the dog bar! Flyers had great food.Very busy and took forever to get it. Shopping was amazing when the cruise ships came into port

Cute and comfy
Location was perfect! Beaches to the left and right! Amazing views from every direction! The room itself was cozy. Could have used a tv in the bedroom but overall cute and comfortable! The cave walkway not recommended for tall men lol my guy was nervous the whole time lol I loved it again very cute! Clean up lady was great in and out. Will definitely be coming back to was amazing

Victoria House is a charming property right by the pier in Frederiksted. We stayed in the Lanai (Starfish) Suite. We really liked the private balcony, the courtyard, the air conditioning in the bedrooms, the daily towel replacement, and the customer service. We also liked that it's not a cookie cutter property. We really didn't like how noisy the street is. While Victoria House provides a white noise machine, it didn't really cover up the cars racing down the street, the beeps from the ATM right outside the front door, and the people shouting at all hours of the day. We would also recommend against staying in Frederiksted in general, as it's a lot more run-down with far fewer restaurants and bars than we were expecting. The property was fine (not great, not terrible) but we will try somewhere else in Christiansted next time.

Hello Jeffery - I'd like to thank you for staying with us and also for reviewing your stay. I would have LOVED the opportunity to assist with some of these issues while you were staying with us...I'm sad this is the first time I'm hearing about them! As far as restaurants and bars are concerned, I know and suggest 18 restuarants and bars in frederiksted town. all of which are within a mile of our hotel. there are more than that, but I don't know enough about them to suggest them to our guests, so although Frederiksted is definitely the 'sleepier' and also less commercial town on St. Croix, it still has a good selection to choose from and each spot also has a bit more character then our Christiansted counter parts (in my opinion).As far as street noise is concerned, we read your review and immidiately reached out to the bank to see if we can get the volume on the ATM turned down. If you would've mentioned this to me during your stay I might have been able to fix at least that and maybe go purchase your party ear plugs for the other ambient noises. With that said we also realize that our town is not necassarily a place for everyone. We find that our guests that love to explore, adventure, hike, golf, snorkel, dive, horseback ride, sail, beachcomb, meet new friends, and experience new cultures, truly enjoy this town (some even move down because it is truly one of a kind). Frederiksted is definately a "real" place, with real flaws, and real people. It all can been seen by everyone because we don't have a facade making everything seem perfect. We are authentic and that is what our guests love the most :)Again, thank you for staying with us. I'm sorry you didn't enjoy your stay as much as we hoped you would. Make sure to visit us over here on the west side next time you're visiting Christiansted!

Highly recommended if staying in Frederiksted! Close to everything and snorkeling literally across the street! Walkable to Rainbow beach.

Thanks for the review Brian! Also, just so everyone is on the same page, Rainbow beach (one of my favorites) is about 1.6 miles away, so while TECHNICALLY walkable, the walk back is usually tough after a few rum punches ;)

AC in bedrooms was excellent..property is awesome representation of original Dutch architecture- super cool. Kitchen and living room in our room did not have AC and it was a very hot day/night. Definitely recommend a stay, however.

Great location! Close to restaurants, shops, and ocean front views! We stayed in the Sunset which was a 2-bedroom, 1-bath, with a full kitchen and living room. Very spacious and perfect for our family of 4. Air conditioners in the bedrooms was nice, along with ceiling fans in all rooms. Property also had a small bar and a lovely courtyard.

Services/Staff were pleasant. Manager communication was via text messaging.Very clean room. Housekeeping only provided 2 sets of towels but very nice. Property does not offer cable tv where WiFi would not work and property manager text we will need to use our hotspot to watch television. Power outage throughout the night didn’t feel safe so put chair under door knob.

Both situations are sadly out of our control as our municipal power company loses power frequently and our WiFi Provider has been having issues getting a tech to come out to our site promptly due to the high number of outages (which are also due to power outages most times). We expect our WiFi to be back online and stronger than ever by this Thursday! Regardless, we really do appreciate you shoosing to stay with us and we hope to have you again soon.

Enjoyed our staycation!
We enjoyed our getaway here! Our room was spacious & clean. Had everything we needed. Loved the porch view & breezes. Didn’t really see any management but we’re in communication by text & very responsive. We would go back! Sunday brunch in the restaurant space on main was great!

Excellent location with oceanfront views and walking distance to beach. Plenty of casual restaurants and shops. Accommodating hosts. Stayed in sunset room, which had 2 bedrooms, kitchen and perfect beach cottage living room. Mattresses very soft (comfy for us but maybe not for all). Hallway floor is not level - you can tell it is because it’s an old property that has been renovated. Again, not a problem for us, but perhaps for some. Shower faucet/handle was missing. Shower worked, but was difficult to turn on/off. Would be nice if restaurant (leased out by property manager) was open more often. Cute little courtyard. Secure entry.

A unique, vintage property on the water in Frederiksted. The rooms are all individualized, and have been modernized with nice bathrooms and amenities. The bar and restaurant on the bottom floor are delightful! Really enjoyed our stay there!

We loved our stay at Victoria House! It was a huge room with gorgeous ocean views. It was also in the perfect location. Great breakfast at Polly’s right next door and the pier across the street has so much sea life. The room could’ve used a few more hooks but it was really a perfect stay for us.

I'm back and forth on this review, because the Victoria House and the staff were top notch. It is a great facility, very nice courtyard, great staff, beautiful views. The area around the hotel I would consider sketchy. Strand street is relatively safe feeling at least the north end where the street lights mostly work. The south end around the Fred hotel is dark and we had an incident one night after eating at the BBQ joint next door as we were walking back in the dark, turned out ok - but solidified my feelings of the area. Frederiksted is a rough town and it feels that way. There were some great bars to stop and eat in, a few nice shops, it just didn't feel safe when the sun went down. After traveling around the island if I was to go back I'd be looking at the north shore away from the bigger towns. The Cane bay area is where we would stay if we visit again sometime. Frederiksted & Christansted are the two main bigger towns and felt safe going through them during the day and would be fine places to visit during the day, night time just has a different feel. With us staying in Frederiksted we learned the area pretty well over a week. Polly's at the Pier is great for breakfast. Nep2une diving is great, my son and I dove for the first time with our instructor Shawn who was superb and would recommend if your staying in the area or visiting for the day. Rainbow beach is a nice beach in the area with jet skis, snorkel equipment, and other fun beach stuff.

The property is beautiful you walk out all of your apartment at the Victoria house and see the Caribbean Sea such beauty and the owner and staff is out of this world and I'm not just saying this you have to experience it friendliness and the welcome that they shared if you don't stay at the Victoria house you are missing out on something wonderful

The owner, MP, was incredible. I texted her at 10pm looking for a room. She immediately responded and gave me a room to stay for the night. Each room has panache - this is truly a boutique place to stay.

Beautiful sunset from the Porch
The self check in was smooth and I liked the option to do that rather than stand at a check in desk. The Owner is really nice and had great recommendations for the area. The sunset from the porch is absolutely beautifully.

The Victoria House is a beautiful place to stay! We stayed in a two bedroom suite that had a porch overlooking the beautiful Caribbean and Frederiksted Pier. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. There was a nice little basket of treats and some cold bottles of water waiting for us on check in. Checkin was a breeze and we had excellent communication with the owner. Best yet, the location is phenomenal! It's surrounded by many great restaurants and bars. There are beautiful beaches and beach bars within walking distance. Best yet, there are several dive shops a block a way and some of the best diving around, right off the Frederiksted pier just Across the road! Highly recommend and we will be back!
