He speaks Basque, Spanish, French, and—good for us—sign language. If this had once been a sheep barn, I would have loved to be a sheep there. "Excellent location close to public transportation (bus, train etc), shopping and restaurants! Walkable distance to the beach, and nearby town Ciboure. No need for a car at all, we took buses to Bilbao, San Sebastián Spain. Little choice at the hotel breakfast (wish there were fresh fruit), but staff prepared scrambled or sunny side up eggs upon demand. Overall I will highly recommend this hotel. "

"Lovely hotel in the French countryside. Spacious room, very comfortable bed. Excellent shower. Appreciated the balcony outside the room plus seated areas in the garden and patio with loungers for relaxing. Very tasty breakfast. Free onsite parking. Extremely helpful staff (apart from bar manager). Good onsite restaurant. Only 2km into town where there are plenty of shops, bars and restaurants. Good base for exploring the general area and close to canoeing and train de la Rhune. Couple of negatives. When I book a double room I expect to get a double bed not two singles pushed together - that's a twin room. Shower had no soapdish / shelf so nowhere to put products."

"Very convenient for arrival by bus from Biarritz airport. Very friendly and helpful staff at Reception and everything you need is provided for a self-catered stay. The studio apartment we booked for 4 people comprised a sofa bed and bunk beds but we hadn’t anticipated a sofa bed! It was ok, just not super comfy for sleeping on for 5 nights. Air conditioning was a real blessing! Overall great value for money!"
