"Check-in was great, and when we got to our room, we were impressed by how nice and attractive it looked. The hotel is in a great location, so we went out to explore the area and didn't return until around midnight. When I tried to take a shower, there wasn't a single drop of hot water. I ended up having to shower with freezing cold water, which was very disappointing. Before breakfast the next morning, I went to the front desk to report the issue. The receptionist told me there was nothing she could do because maintenance wouldn't be in until 9:00 a.m. Having worked in hospitality myself, I felt there were other ways the situation could have been handled. For example, offering access to an empty room to shower or at least providing a sincere apology would have gone a long way. Instead, it felt like I was bothering her by bringing the lack of hot water to her attention. To make matters worse, the hot water issue was still unresolved when it was time to leave, so I had to take a second freezing cold shower before checking out. The room itself was nice and the location was excellent, but the issue with the hot water and the response from the front desk left a negative impression."
