"We had a really comfortable stay at The White Lion. The accessible Courtyard room (No 10) was ideal for my husband, who has limited mobility. The breakfasts were amazing and we ate in the hotel restaurant 2 nights, when the meals were of equally good quality The staff were very friendly and helpful. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend staying here Hebden Bridge is a very nice place, with plenty of independent shops, restaurants and cafes. Nice walks along the canal, good bus and train services. Visits to Heptonstall and Hardcastle Craggs recommended"

"Great location right in the centre. Accurate information about the cottage and amenities.Cottage is small so was fine for 3 adults and a small dog but would be cramped with any more people. Beds comfy and good size doubles. Shower good.Downside is only 1 bathroom (accurately stated)Dining seating for 6 but if you wanted to spend evenings relaxing after a long day out and about there is only limited lounge seating. Hence the reason I say that it would be cramped for larger numbers. Parking outside for 1 car but not impossible to find alternative parking nearby if you had an additional vehicleHost answered any questions and when unavailable provided an alternative contactWe thoroughly enjoyed our stay"

"Excellent location near to pubs and restaurants and if you a traveling with children there is a park with a playground within walking distance. The owner is very helpful. We were traveling with our daughter and our toddler grandson to visit relatives and it worked well for our purposes. Parking is a bit of an issue. The neighbours on both sides consistently encroach on the parking spot at the front door. We had to park at the rear of the property. Given the age of the village and the neighbourhood that is not surprising. Parking seems to be a problem all over the UK. The property has been beautifully renovated and we would definitely stay there again. One note of caution, for people with mobility problems there are a lot of stairs to reach the bedrooms ."

"We had a delightful few days in this wonderful property. Brian and Carolyn are very friendly and thoughtful hosts and Sutcliffe Barn is a little haven of tranquillity, exactly what we needed at a difficult and painful time in our lives. I just wish we could have stayed longer."

"Room basic but clean. Facilities are slightly tired but adequate. The only slight complaint was that the shower was not much more than a dribble but the water was warm. Staff helpful and friendly. Note: Hebden Bridge is hilly and the hostel is up the hill from the town centre. It is not that far and should not put you off using the hostel"
