"Wonderful stay at Solway Escape.A beautiful, spacious lodge, well equipped with all the essentials you need. The lovely welcome pack, complete with information about the owner and local attractions, added a personal touch. The lodge was immaculately clean, well-maintained, and fully equipped with everything you could need. The beds were comfortable – a rare find these days and there was plenty of storage. Although, we didn’t use them, there is a dishwasher and washing machine available. The kitchen had all the equipment need for a cozy night in cooking. Highly recommended. Thank you"

"Visited Berwyn Bank for the second time last weekend as a family group of 12 (Age range 4-84). The house is perfect and had everything you could possibly need for a weekend away. Impeccably clean, comfortable and warm. A wonderful getaway for a blue January! We loved the pool and hot tub. Travelled to Keswick for a walk one day and went for a wonder down the river in Cockermouth the other which was nice! Carol is a wonderful host! Thanks for having us again!"

"Lovely well kept cottage apart from sofa which is IMO needs replaced. Very clean, lots of good quality kitchenware. Fantastic indoor heated swimming pool,Sauna, jacuzzi. 1hr a day private use is brilliant. We loved the place ."

"Nice lodge on the outskirts of Cockermouth..Generally good but issues that were flagged up in the visitors book not addressed.Blinds poorly fitted so privacy compromised.Not enough lighting at night so dangerous getting to the hot tub as the sky dish is path mounted and in the way.Microwave in the fitted kitchen didnt work but a portable replacement quickly delivered.Toilet was left dirty! One of the light sockets in the bathroom was hanging out of the wall and the battery in the smoke alarm was flat.These are minor issues that should've been sorted by now but overall we were satisfied with the lodge."
