"Be warned: you CANNOT get to this hotel with your own vehicle! You're required to buy a separate bus ticket in order to get to the hotel. We weren't told until a couple weeks before our stay that a bus was required to reach the property. We were stunned to find that bus tickets for our family of four were almost TWICE as expensive as the $285 room we booked for a single night. The property's website told us we would be reimbursed only 80% of the cost. We were a little disappointed, but were content that we were able to cancel the reservation. We contacted the property via email. To our surprise, they told us we would lose the entire cost of the booking. Ultimately, we booked elsewhere and disputed the charge with our credit card company. They ruled in our favor and we received a credit for the full cost of the hotel room."

Staff was also very helpful - I left my earbud on the bed and they kept it for me to pick it up on our way back to Reykjavik x Only complaint is the drain was quite smelly when we got in. Would be great if the staff could air the toilet a bit before the next guest!"
