Alms House East consists of a kitchen with electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, dishwasher, kettle, and toaster, a dining room with dining seating for four, a sitting room with TV and woodburning stove and a boot room. The bedrooms consist of a king-size and a zip and link twin. There is a bathroom with freestanding bath, walk-in shower, basin, and heated towel rail and WC. WiFi, fuel, power, bed linen, and towels are included in the rent. Outside, there is an enclosed rear garden with lawn, patio, and furniture and roadside parking available. Pet-friendly with a charge of GBP15 per dog. Sorry, no smoking at this property. Guests can find a shop within 3.6 miles and a pub in 1.7 miles. Find your perfect escape at The Alms House East.     A historic riverside town located on the confluence of the River Severn and Avon, retaining medieval character with an abundance of half timbered Tudor buildings. Tewkesbury is renowned as having one of the best medieval Black and White townscapes in the country, boasting over 350 listed buildings of historic interest set in a conservation area. The town has a stunning 12th century abbey with the highest Norman tower in England, several museums, a Heritage Centre as well as a plethora of individual shops, tea rooms, restaurants, pubs and wine bars. Many lovely walks can be enjoyed from the town with both the Severn Way and Shakespeare's Avon Way running close by. Other festivals in this vibrant town cover literature, jazz, science, cricket, food and drink and comedy to name but a few! The racecourse plays host to the annual, world famous Gold Cup races, as well as numerous other horse racing events throughout the year. The historic city of Gloucester offers Roman foundations, Victorian Docklands and a magnificent Norman cathedral, whose cloisters where used as a location in the Harry Potter films, plus a bustling city centre. The magnificent Royal Forest of Dean, Slimbridge Wetland Centre, the beautiful World Heritage city of Bath, Shakespeare's birthplace of Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwick and many unspoilt Cotswold towns and villages all make for a great day out.
