Stayed here for a wedding, room was small but clean. You could feel the bed springs on your back when you laid down and the bed was a bit small. Understood they had breakfast included, but they don't serve breakfast. Staff was lovely and very accommodating.

Rooms are great. Unfortunately you will hear the bass from the music that comes from the kitchen all day till 930-10pm when they go home

This little inn is in a beautiful village with lots of historical buildings including this one Generally speaking it was above average inn The only problem was the room I had had a very noisy fridge that I was unable to switch off which woke me every 2 hours so be warned The restaurant was lovely and the food good value for money a s the staff were polite and helpful

Very good facilities. Everything you could want in the room. All packed into a neat box. The area is lovely and the staff were so accommodating to us. Reccomdended!

Beautifully maintained pub and inn, east to reach from nearby motorway, friendly staff, lovely well-appointed room. Wish breakfast was included, as there are no nearby options.

Value for money was very good
Great suite with fridge. Double bed too small for us, but it was only for 1 night. Good food in the restaurant, they dot do breakfasts, but there are places nearby you can go. Beautiful area.

Lovely part of the world locals very friendly. Food ok but v pricey. Was expecting bed & breakfast but breakfast non existent. Room tiny but nicely furnished and was ok as only there for a night.

Brilliant 5* Stay
Amazing stay - 1st night on a three day Motorcycle Tour. Really struck gold with this place. Lovely food and a warm welcome. Room was better than I even hoped for. 100% recommend and I will definitely stay again

Great little spot.
Hotel is hard to find via the postcode, my satnav took us to a different place. Check in was a tad long as our booking wasn't written down. Room its self was very comfortable and clean, we had a great night's sleep however, as the rooms are above a pub, the late night leavers of the establishment made a fair bit of noise. The bathroom also is an uncomfortable temperature, it was very hot and there was no way of turning the temperature down or the radiator off. Overall we had a good stay and would return.

The room as described, clean and comfy, even though it was small, unfortunately no breakfast available, In booklets it says a continental is available in room But when I enquired where it was, I informed abruptly that was no longer available. On the 1st night we were ushered up to Our room and felt like we were a inconvenience, same as when we waited patiently by the table to be seated, again we were escorted abruptly. There’s a green light in the room That shines brightly and cannot Be turned off, hence the 1st night with the noisy fridge we had very little sleep. Second night we turned off The fridge and managed a maximum of 5.6 hrs We most definitely won’t be returning as most staff were just rude, two young girls were fine at a push, never felt so unwelcome at a hotel or restaurant

Lovely pub.
Perfectly ok for the price. Fridge in the room was a bit noisy, but at least there was a fridge. Landlord and staff were very helpful, and the food in the restaurant was great. Had a great nights sleep. I would certainly use The Bell again if returning to the area.

Nice location outside Gloucester. Close to the canal, pleasant village with a huge green, and some good eating options. Rooms were a little cold at night (heating seemed to go off)

Room I was provided was superb for self-catering 1 night stay. Excellent farm shop next door. Shower bed good. i was kindy allowed to leave my car in the car park the day following my stay until i returned after a day-long walk. DOWNER was that no evening meal or breakfast could be provided by the restaurant in the pub downstairs. no reason for this was given.

Breaking our journey at the Bell.
Overall a very good experience. There was some confusion at checkin over the room I had booked and it needed 2 attempts to find the ‘junior suite’. But the restaurant downstairs was excellent and the serving staff very attentive. The road in the village where the hotel is situated was busier than I expected so a little noisy if your room overlooks the green as ours did - but nothing unbearable.
