🌿 Peaceful & Cosy Cottage Stay in the Forest of Dean 🌳🐑

"We loved our family stay hear. Definitely would come back . The hosts were lovely, helpful and friendly. The area was great, had animals on the doorstep witch the kids loved feeding and holding the chickens and feeding the sheep. The woods was a few metres away witch was great. Some great places to visit less ten 10 minutes away. The cottage was lovely, clean and had everything we needed. We had a lovely time . Thank you "

"Cottage well equipped. Peaceful. Great for relaxing. Lovely to be able to walk into forest. Good base to explore local area. We have loved the Forest of Dean! Fantastic views. Garden great for wildlife but not so for playing in with young children. Mattresses and sofas could do with replacing. Welcome hamper much appreciated."

"Zion Chapel is a wonderful place to relax and unwind in a beautiful location on the edge of the forest. Everything you could need is provided and we were welcomed with a lovely food hamper which included bacon, eggs, croissants, prosecco and a home-baked chocolate cake. There were also treats for the dog and dog bowls, beds and towels. The chapel has been beautifully restored and is cosy and welcoming with lovely lighting and loads of seating. The bed is super-comfy and there is a fabulous mezzanine level that looks over the village and forest. We loved the sound system that took full advantage of the high ceilings. We spent most of our time on the front patio enjoying the beautiful views and watching the buzzards overhead. You are surrounded by wildlife and we were lucky to see deer in the orchard on several occasions plus foxes, bats and the free-roaming sheep. There are so many beautiful walks right from the door and our measure of a great holiday is that we only used the car twice in nine days! The Heritage Centre has a lovely cafe and the White Horse pub is really friendly and welcoming, both in the village. We had the most amazing time and are looking forward to returning to this beautiful chapel. Thank you Vicky."

"Perfect location if you’re planning to ride in the Forest of Dean. The cottage is well equipped, clean and cozy, and the bike storage in the outhouse makes it a very practical choice. Marianna’s communications were all clear and helpful, great host! We’d definitely stay again next time we’re in the area."
