"Nice room. Good size, bright and recently decorated. Good breakfast. Great location in lovely seaside town with lots of restaurant and cafe choices and shops. A little noisy at night with single glazing onto street and deliveries to shop opposite (although it was a Friday night). Could do with a couple of shelves in closet or a bench or wall hooks to put clothes etc. on."

"This was a leisure visit. We were greeted by you are early (30 mins) which I had acknowledged before they mentioned it and said they would check. Again they said we were early but the room was ready and told Room 3 upstairs! We only have 7 rooms we were told. The room was tidy but dusty and the window although double glazed had a gale blowing through as it didn’t fully seal when closed. The shower head had more water coming out of the top of the shower head than where it was supposed to come from and wasn’t particularly warm either. You could hear every noise from people walking up the staircase to closing their doors. The staff were ok seemed to be put out when we went to the restaurant which was cold as was the rest of the building. They didn’t come across that friendly or welcoming. The building itself has the promise to be a really nice place but more attention needs to be paid to the rooms and temperature control. It did seem to have contractors staying there."

"Check in was very easy and straightforward. Communication with the host was excellent. The cottage was clean and welcoming. Beds and linens were very comfortable. Kitchen was well equipped. A few small discrepancies with the advertised amenities ( lack of coffee machine and shortage of kitchen crockery ) were addressed in a kind and caring manner. Located just a couple of miles from North Berwick and surrounded by pretty farmland. "
