Hot tub fun, warm up by the fire pit, after a long day of all day play!

10/10 Excellent
"This was the 2nd time in three years we've stayed here. I stayed with my adult kids in 2023 and now with my spouse in 2026. I love cooking and the kitchen is well equipped. [TO OTHER GUESTS: If you stay at a property with a kitchen, please DO NOT return used dishes/silverware back after 'washing' them yourself. The reason the host asks us to leave the used but washed dishes in the rack is so they can see what was used and ensure those things are clean. We found several dishes and pieces of silverware that were put back less than clean. I don't blame the host. This one is on us - the guests.] I always wash kitchen items before using them when I travel, so it's not a big deal. We love staying here and we plan to do so in the future."

"We loved our stay at the beautifully stuccoed adobe building that was artfullly decorated in a rustic, rural setting in Cedaredge. Our accommodations were so comfortable and the gourmet breakfast we were served the next morning was outstandingly delicious!! Marty and Terrie were so easy to work with and very enjoyable to visit with. We will definitely stay there again when we visit the Grand Mesa again."

Vega lake Retreat - a unique mountain escape with all four seasons!

Vega lake Retreat - a unique mountain escape with all four seasons!

8/10 Good
"Overall the property was beautiful and comfortable. The location is VERY remote, but the views and peacefulness made it worth it. Just be aware it's 30 minutes at least to anything like a grocery store or gas station. There are also cows on the property and they'll walk right up to the house. We appreciated the large deck and hot tub, however some kind of awning or shade would have made it better. There was some conflicting information about trash. Ultimately you have to pack it out yourself. The keys email said trash could go to a dumpster on property, but a message received the next day said take it to the RV dump at the state park (which is what we did). Another surprise was all the notices about limited well water, keep showers short, and such. If we had known ahead of time, we would have brought more. On the plus side, there were abundant towels and bedding, and the kitchen was well stocked with plenty of cookware, utensils and basics for our large group. To summarize, the experience was more rustic than anticipated, but still the beautiful mountain escape I was looking for."
