"Our one-night stay here will always be a nice memory - Apulian hospitality at its best. We also booked the tasting dinner which was the best we could do. Lovely atmosphere with candlelight, real local countryside food, amazing flavors and wonderful presentation. All is very high quality. Rooms are sophisticatedly furnished, beds are really comfortable. The only suggestions I'd have is to keep the jacuzzi heated for autumn evenings, would be a wonderful experience. "The place was very convenient. My family and I kept the main door open for about 15 minutes to let fresh air into the house, since there are no windows. There is a ventilation system, but the house carries a particular scent, perhaps typical of this type of construction. The location is very safe. "The Pianelle Resort in heart of Sassi Caveoso was so convenient to so many sites and restaurants nearby. The view as well immediately at the doorstep was breathtaking. The room was spacious and luxurious with exposed stone walls and ceilings which provided an immersive experience if staying in the caves of Matera. The breakfast options too were delicious and highlighted the local produce and cuisine. We had an amazing 2 nights and would definitely return. "
