"Stayed here for a wedding as a family of four. Very nice room, a little bit on the expensive side but weighing up a taxi home 40 miles and breakfast it worked out about the same. Breakfast was very good. The drinks at the bar were a bit on the expensive side at £8 a pint but what can you do "

"When we arrived, the lady at the reception was very polite and pleasant. However, in the morning when we were leaving, the staff were quite unfriendly and rude. Later, when we contacted the hotel to explain what had happened, they tried to accuse us of having three people stay in a double room. We were honestly surprised, because it was the hotel that checked the three of us into a room with two beds in the first place, but we chose not to raise this issue at the time."

"The amenities were poorly maintained. The heating didn't work overnight one night; we only got a response and assistance the following morning. The shower was broken; it didn't attach to the wall, and the water pressure was no more than a trickle. The airing cupboard door was not fixed on the hinges and fell off onto my daughter's head. The TV, Netflix specifically, didn't work. The cleanliness was substandard. For example, the cutlery in the drawer was dirty, and the sofa smelled bad."
