"Everything is amazing. The location and hotel is beautiful. The staff is incredibly friendly. Special mentions to Mario, he will help you with everything around the hotel! Resolves anything immediately and the most friendly person. All the kitchen staff and people in the dining room! All of them! Chef is great and a lot of food options. From the bar: William! What a great guy always with a smile. Jose Luis, Roger, Damara, such friendly and nice people!!! Carlos and Wilmer who help you with the chairs and umbrellas thanks!! Also Carlos internal security, also defends marine life and makes sure all tourists respect the sea and its animals, what a blessing for this hotel to have him. Front desk is the only place where you are not greeted or treated very kindly, most of these girls have attitude. I had a question and went to front desk and instead of resolving the issue, they were giving me more issues and were really rude, I had to stop them immediately I guess they forget that they are not doing you a favor, you pay to be there! The only 2 people in front desk who are nice are Stefany and victor. Other than that, I stay in this place 3-4 times a year but next time will think about because of the issues with the people in front desk "

"Pros: superb location, hotel amenities, rooms are comfortable, service is good, beach is great, pool is big enough to be comfortably enjoyed, breakfast has good variety! Cons: food needs to improve and the cocktails as well! Both things were a bit disappointing… ceviche, empanadas, margaritas, burgers, mules, fish, etc…"

"Watercolors in Roatán is a beautiful property surrounded by lush trees and with a lovely beach. The pool is huge and includes a hot tub that faces the ocean — truly stunning. Our condo was brand new, with spacious rooms, comfortable beds, and luxury finishes. The location is perfect, right between West End and West Bay. However, no one informed us that the property was still under construction. There were workers and construction noise nearby while we were trying to relax, which took away from the experience. Parking was also inconvenient — you have to leave your car on a dirt road and walk quite a distance to reach your condo. I believe once the entire project is finished, Watercolors will be an amazing place to stay. For now, it’s beautiful but not yet ready for a completely relaxing vacation."

"This is wonderful for what it is, a rustic beach stay. Pros: The location is amazing. The staff were amazing! Loved to secluded feel and enjoyed the hammocks and watching the humming birds. Walk to everything in just a few minutes. What it is not: This is not a resort with luxury linens and a polished feel. Think of your great uncles old and comfy summer cabin, the sink maybe chipped, there’s no tvs and it’s just basic accommodations. With all that we loved it! My teen boys said they would stay there over a posh resort any day and I agree. "

"Private beach, great staff, excellent food! This is my 4th time to Roatan, West Bay is just gorgeous and you can snorkel right off the beach. Taking a drive around the island with someone who lives there is an experience you don't want to miss, I've done it on two trips. Winson is the best guide for a private car tour of the island, and you can find him working at Las Rocas Resort and Dive Center in the onsite restaurant, Trattoria Da Puerto--a great place to stay, and the food is excellent. Ask him if he can take you to the Garifuna village in Punta Gorda, and he'll show interesting spots along the way. There is so much kindness in the local people, fascinating history and great food there at the village. The bonuses are the stops along the way and an amazing ocean view from most of the restaurants in the village. There are handcrafted items to buy that are one-of-a-kind, not mass-produced tourist junk. This is a MUST DO if you want to fully experience Roatan. The people at the Resort are great, the turquoise water is warm but refreshing, and the white sand beaches are incredible and easy to walk on barefoot. The sunsets are so gorgeous, and to me, it is the perfect place for a great beach vacation. Great diving and snorkeling! Just a three hour flight from some U.S. cities, like Dallas and Miami. The Resort offers a free shuttle to and from the airport, we each tipped $10 each way, try to always tip in cash. Use bug spray for sand fleas and mosquitoes!"
