"We were looking for somewhere comfortable to stay while attending an event in the area. The friendly and helpful staff, clean and comfortable room, lovely grounds to walk around and sit out in, and a good range of lovely food for breakfast in a lovely and clean room surrounded by windows that look out over the grounds made this a most pleasant stay. We would highly recommend it. The only grumble from my husband was the traditional English breakfast which is served includes only one sausage and one hash-brown!"

"Really lovely overnight accomodation. Just a couple of issues, the room was really hot, but put that down to the recent hot weather. However the shower area had flaking paint on the ceiling, and if you're tall, it's not particularly comfortable trying to shower. Other than that, really good, and despite the issues, I'd return as it's very good value for money."

"The hotel is very old and from the outside is not a good experience, needs a good tidy and a lot of maintenance! Inside is very quirky, old but eccentric. The room was ok, sheets were clean etc"

"Lots of parking. Staff friendly and helpful. Cheep and cheerful if all you need is somewhere to lay your head. The only criticism is no sink plugs. So best to take one yourself. Ive stayed a few times and always made welcome. "

"We received a very warm welcome from hosts Jackie and Rob and our stay was absolutely exceptional! Our room was clean, neat, well appointed, with a refreshments tray including lovely homemade cake and the folder containing menus and directions for the nearby pubs for meals was well thought out and presented. We slept well in a good firm bed and our room, with it's views over the garden, was very peaceful. The breakfast was excellent: perfectly cooked, nice quality ingredients and offered a really good selection of fruits and cereals (prior to the cooked breakfast), followed by plentiful thick toast with homemade jam and marmalade and, very decent coffee! We were truly made to feel very welcome and because our room, the nicely presented bathroom, good quality towels etc. everything was so well organised, we had a really comfortable and relaxing stay. And the location is perfect too! Well placed, in quiet countryside, but just off the main arterial routes and we had no trouble booking Uber for travel into the nearby town. We would highly recommend White Cottage as a comfortable base when visiting the Black Country or Shropshire border area!"

"Lovely bright & airy barn conversion, equipped with everything you would need. Friendly pub within 2 minutes and farm shop down the road with a good selection of fresh, quality food. It is close to a road so a bit of traffic noise, depending on what you are used to. Great location to explore the area with ease."
