We are Hilton Diamond level. We found ourselves in Hamburg to go on a cruise and there was no availability at the Hilton. We decided to roll the dice and stay here. The staff were an 11 out of 10. Every interaction with them was awesome. We mistakingly printed our cruise form on double sided and needed it printed single sided. The hotel does not have a 'business center' but they said, email what we need printed to them. It was done immediately. We were stupid typical Americans and forgot that electrical outlets are not universal :) They were considerate enough to lend us an adaptor for no charge. Our luggage was lost by BA and I told the staff that they may be delivered. The staff asked if we wanted to be texted or called when the luggage arrived. Just the smallest nicest touch! We did not get the breakfast option and that worked out for us. We did use the bar/food service and was pleasantly surprised at the reasonable cost. For other Americans out there, imagine what a 8 Buffalo Wing and Fries would cost at a Hilton. It was 9 euros. It was also damn good! We wound up having that twice during the 3 days we were there! The location of the hotel is about a five minute walk to the Berliner Tor train station. About 1000' past the station is a huge grocery store, Kaufland. Now, the room, ok, it was small compared to US Hiltons. It was typical for EU rooms. We liked the automatic floor lights.

Keep away from MOXYS
Had my room emptied after 2 nights, even though had booked 3 nights. Reason given by housekeeping was because there was no bag . My suitcase took 3 days to catch up with me as had been lost by the airline. Comlained to reception, apologies offered. No tea/coffee facilities in the room. No draws or cupboards to store anything. On check out was over charged city tax. Complained later in day by phonecall as unable to contact them by email. Manager said would look into the matter and call me back. To date no contact from him. Stay away from all Moxys, this is the 2nd one I've used. Enough is enough never aain.

It's a good place to stay, but the area is known to be a bit shady. Close to public transport and not far from all the nice inner city stuff. I, unfortunately, went on a very popular weekend and the 150€/night that I paid was too much for this. I would consider 70 - 80€ an appropriate price. The room was itself was ok and the beds where very good. The shower was great too, except for the awfully sweet, strong smelling shower gels & soap. Gave me a headache. The overall style is modern and minimalistic but lacking the cleverness of a certain competing popular chain. Example: 2 people, 4 towels but only one tiny towel rail to hang them all up. No closet but a fixture across the wall with 4 coat hangers attached at random heights. They were installed on fixed spots so we could not hang our clothes at another, more convenient spot. There was no coffee machine or mini fridge. All very basic. Unfortunately, our otherwise quiet room was next to a very squeaky door (staff room maybe), that started to wake us up around 06:00 in the morning. Overall def. not a stay worth 150€/night, but perfectly fine for half the price. Despite my complaints, I would choose the Moxy again. Staff was nice too

The size of the room is very comfortable for two people traveling with big bags. The furniture is modern and well kept. the lights concept in the room is great, very cozy. and also very smart having the dimmed lights turning on someone get up the bed.

Very helpful and attentive staff members. The lobby area and rooms are brand new and done to a high standard. The location is only 10 mins walk from the main station (Hamburg Hauptbahnhof) and a short walk to the closest station (Berliner Tor). The only improvements would be to the facilities provided in the room - no bin in the main bedroom, just a bathroom bin. Unfortunately there's no tea/coffee making facilities, and no wardrobe, just a few hangers by the TV. Other than that, a great room that is in a food location to explore Hamburg.

The only thing I like to complain is the headboard of bed is wood and there’s some kind of material they pasted that the “DUST” would really get stuck and accumulate in that headboard. I was sneezing and sneezing in that bedroom and when I go out side I’m all good. So I suspect it’s the dust in that headboard that needs to clean well or take out that material that been pasted in that headboard. Otherwise, everything is good!

Overall a good experience. Hotel selling a bottle of water for 3.50 is rather steep. The rooms were basic which was fair for the price however the room required a good dust, it was evident that light fittings and railings to hang clothes on had not been cleaned for some time

Moxy is for me a hotel trying to give off an upmarket youth hostel vibe. I loved the attention to detail, decor, common areas… my 12-year old daughter came to visit and the lounge bar/lobby area really impressed her, so much that she went about photographing everything. Great staff, very friendly. I regularly stay in mid-range business hotels in Hamburg and this one is definitely one of my favorites.

The crime rate in Hamburg is ridiculous. I locked my valuables in my safe; however, I did some shopping in the city. And when I came home I noticed some of the stuff I purchased was missing. My bags went directly from this room to my home. So the items must have been stolen from this hotel. If you do purchase items, make sure to make them look old. Or for more safety try to fit as much as you can inside the safe. Their hotel staff is filled with thieves. There is no point in reporting to managers, nothing will happen. They will call the police and make a big show of it, but nothin happens. Therefore, protect yourself.
