"Fantastic property for a long weekend. Plenty of supplies in the house for most needs. The power went out for a few hours while we were there due to storms and there were no emergency candles. Luckily we brought a few ourselves so it wasn't too bad. The cabin is in a very isolated area which is exactly what we were looking for. Really enjoyed hiking through the woods and property. The pond was nice to fish and I did manage to catch a few even though the water was murky from the storms. All in all a wonderful retreat that is quiet and relaxing. Highly recommended. "

"Wonderful little gem. Hosts obviously care about the guest experience. Property was clean, bed comfy, and kitchen nicely stocked for basic cooking. Decorations throughout the house provided a calming peaceful escape. It just felt like vacation. Loved that a house that "sleeps 8" actually has 8 chairs provided for a dining table. Not that we needed them, but we've traveled with family enough that one is a pet peeve. One note - if you have sensitive hair be aware the water here is very soft. I like knowing things like that when I travel for my hair. "

"As always a great stay. Breakfast was Fantastic! Be aware that the Jefferson room gets hot, without a thermostat. Bar is NOT open on Sundays for that pre-dinner drink."

"Very cozy and comfortable. We really enjoyed looking at the artwork beautifully arranged throughout the house. We are looking forward to coming again. The people at the general store are wonderful!!!"
