"Sean and Charlie, the owners, do an amazing job. The James Place Inn is cozy and quaint. Located just a 5 minute walk from the outlets and shopping, it was the perfect place for us. We spent the day locally and exploring, and could also get to the lakes and the coast for a scenic drive and walking trails. The room was meticulously clean with welcome candy and water in the room. We utilized the outdoor fire pit every night we were there. That was my favorite as we bypassed our camping trip this year. My wife thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast. I think it was her favorite part of waking up,…not sure what Sean was going to make, but knew ot was going be perfect. We stayed for 3 nights and absolutely loved it. We can’t wait to come back and see where you two take this place. Great stay all around. Keep up the amazing work. It’s gonna pay off. Chris and Jen"

"This house is very deceiving, Yes, it is a Victorian house but all the windows are new so no drafts. The bathroom is totally remodeled complete with a walk in shower with bench seating. The kitchen is modern with new fridge, induction stove, pots, pans, flatware, cookware and glassware! The heating system is new and works wonderfully. It is railroad style so you enter into the kitchen,walk thru the dining room (bathroom door is there) and back to the studio/living roomIf you are staying in Freeport proper you can walk everywhere. Close to the highway- we went to Portland (18 miles) and all the way to Bar Harbor (3hrs) to hike Acadia. Amy is a pleasure to deal with and stayed in constant communication with us to make sure we were settled in.Here is an example. The main room has a piano and I mentioned I was there for a musicians get together/jam. She had the piano tuned for me!We are planning to stay here next year and highly recommend this property and host to anyone"
