Very little variety in shops and cafes.

My wife and I stayed for five nights from 14-19 November. Everything about our stay was brilliant, from the initial welcome by the concierge Anthony, the wonderful check-in staff and the housekeeping team, we could not fault it. Unsafe area
Went up the Hill to St. Mary's and was saddened at how unkempt it was. There is a viewing spot, which was so overgrown that it was difficult to see anything. The church was very peaceful and a good place to visit. Did not see much else of Harrow.
Hatch end high street nice, lots of good restaurants
We did not explore the surrounding area so can not comment
Area is usual suburbs
