"The hotel was really close to the Ferry Terminal and we were able to drop our bags and head off quickly to see the sites. Restaurants close early on the island so eat around 5-6pm. Staying overnight lets you go up the ropeway at 9am before the day crowds hit (they are substantial). We went over on the JR Ferry and came back on the fast boat to the Hiroshima Peace Park. The Ropeway is excellent. Hotel breakfast is very good. "

"Lovely stay in a Japanese style hotel. We are travelling around Japan and this is the only traditional hotel we have stayed in. We loved the experience of slippers on arrival, yukata robe for dinner, futons transforming our tatami room to a bedroom, traditional Japanese dinner and breakfast. Super helpful staff for us novices!"

"What a great ryokan experience! Definitely a highlight of our trip. This was our introduction to an onsen and it was perfect. The meals are a must! The food is so fresh and delicious. "This quaint little hostel in the country was our first experience at a hostel. People were very friendly and helpful. Our room was on the third floor and there was no elevator. The room we had chosen was a Japanese style room. We got to the room and at bedtime had to make our beds on the floor (not complaining just stating facts). There was a cafe in the lobby/lounge area. The food was good and pretty inexpensive. The place is also filled with manga, ping pong, game systems and other fun things for guests to do. Other rooms were themed rooms (as one of the other guests was very excited about their space themed room). The hostel was about a five-ten minute walk from a small train stop that took you to hiroshima or to the ferry for miyajima."
