"No safe in room. Breakfast way overpriced."

"If you read my previous review on this hotel, you will probably be surprised that I returned. The management offered me their nicest room with the breakfast to try and compensate for my previous day. This room was clean, although two black towels were found behind a chair that were obviously nothing to do with the hotel. It was a bit weird sleeping in a round bed with the mirrors above it, one could only imagine that it was 1 way glass with camera above you filming 😬 the bathroom was still something out of the year 2000 and seriously needs a revamp, but my biggest grip, considering you are trying to impress and already disgruntled customer, was the heating did not work and the room was like a fridge. To be totally honest, your hotel is a complete and utter contradiction of itself, the outside of the property looks absolutely beautiful, the disappointment hits you like a tsunami when you walk into a room. All in all, highly disappointing and it would not matter if you offered me a week of free stays, I will not be returning. "

"The apt mentions it has a restaurant, but it closed during covid and hasn’t reopened. It does serve an excellent breakfast, but the restaurant isn’t open for lunch or dinner. I was there on an Easter Monday, and the majority of the restaurants in the area were closed for the holiday. I would not have stayed at the hotel if I had known the restaurant was closed. "

"The building is old and expected for the price. There was mold in our room but the linens were all clean and room was as clean as it could be except for that. The Staff was AMAZING!!! They were all so friendly! I would recommend for a quick stay but maybe not with kids as the area is not kid friendly environment."

"The room was basic but very comfortable. The dark corridors were oppressive, and as a single female traveller I did not enjoy the difficult key code entry system. "

"This was an interesting new type of hotel stay for us. My mother grew up in Altona in the 50s after the war. I hadn’t been to Hamburg in about 20 years so we decided to visit pre-Christmas for the markets (way too crowded and difficult public transportation during it). The room was well equipped with a refrigerator, induction cooktop, convection oven, deep well sink as well as cookware and utensils. It was relatively quiet and situated. Typical German hard mattress and too many smokers outside every door. I couldn’t live in a city like this, but an occasional visit should only take a few days off my life. "
