We had a nice stay at Kipos. The staff was attentive, helpful and professional. The accommodations were lovely. The location is ideal, just a few minutes walk to Old Town, but nice and quiet, away from the busyness of the tourists. Nice neighborhood cafe/restaurant only 3 minutes walk.

A lovely oasis outside the main tourist areas yet still close enough to walk to everything. I’d read the reviews about the “rough” neighbourhood, but while it is not picturesque, it always felt safe. The hotel has loveky bright rooms, and is scrupulously clean. We loved having a private ground floor patio with its own lemon tree! There were some wifi issues during our stay, but not specific to the hotel. Biggest plus: the small complement of staff provided excellent recommendations, lots of help with local information, and were unfailingly friendly.

The staff were very helpful and friendly, and our room was clean and recently renovated. However, the room we received did not match the photos of the room we had booked. There was no sofa in the living room, but instead only two extremely uncomfortable black chairs. In addition, there was a wall under construction directly in front of all the windows, making it impossible to enjoy natural daylight and, unfortunately, there was no view from the balcony as shown in the hotel’s photos. The bathroom was quite small and awkwardly designed, with no barrier between the shower and the rest of the tiny bathroom. As a result, taking a shower left the entire floor flooded. The accommodation was also surrounded by construction and several abandoned buildings, which made the immediate surroundings less appealing. On the positive side, having parking included was very convenient. We also really appreciated all the recommendations provided by the staff. The location was another advantage, as it was only a short walk from the beautiful town center, with a great selection of shops and restaurants.

This was an incredible property right in the heart of Crete. The staff went above and beyond to help us, from arranging taxis to the port and airport to recommending fantastic local spots to eat. A big thank you to Giannis and Michail for their outstanding hospitality — their kindness and support truly made our stay unforgettable.

Staff are very accommodating friendly and helpful. They gave us a suite which was very clean and newer. We loved our stay there would definitely recommend. The hotel is hard to find is the only negative for us.

Everything was great! Easy check in and actual parking at the site which is almost impossible to find in Herakleion. Mike at the front desk was amazing and very helpful. Would stay again for sure.

We enjoyed our stay at Kipos. Our room was very conformable and quiet. The balcony was an added plus. The hotel is located very close to the old town, so you can explore everything by foot. The parking spot next to the hotel comes also handy. We would come back.

Hidden gem in the back streets of Herakleion.

Good communication from the hotel allowing us to find the hotel easily with our satnav. On arrival we were upgraded to a larger suite by the very friendly staff. The suite itself was modern, comfortable and clean with TVs in both the lounge and bedroom. A small patio area allowed us to catch some sun before going out for our evening meal. Overall I would highly recommend this hidden gem in the back streets of Herakleion.

If you manage to find your way through the narrow street labyrinth to the hotel by car, you've won. The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of the city centre and the rooms vary greatly. If you want a balcony, you should make a note of this when booking.

Très bon accueil appartement très propre le seul bémol est l'environnement. Si vous louez une voiture prenez une mini-citadine car l'accès au parking les rues sont étroites. Au final très bien nous avons passé un agréable séjour
