Private parking for 2 cars. No smoking.. This delightful, detached barn conversion is set overlooking the surrounding farmland with far reaching views to the Black Mountain. Set on one level, Blackrock Barn offers guests lovely views from the property and from the private seating area. It is set on the owner’s own farm and is close to the delightful market town of Hay-on-Wye, with its world renowned annual literary festival held in May.

Originally constructed as part of the Norman invasion of Wales, Hay Castle is a medieval site which offers guests a fascinating day out. The historic cathedral city of Hereford is approximately 20 miles away and offers an array of bars, shops and restaurants for guests to enjoy on a day out to the city. There is a good range of country pubs nearby, where guests can enjoy food and a drink. For guests looking to be more active there are stunning walks onto Hay Bluff, The Begwyns and the Black Mountains.
