Top Hexham Hotel Reviews

Langley Castle Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Beautifull castle, lovely food and tremendous gardens the peacocks are a delight"

The George Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"The staff were friendly and the hotel is in a great spot if you want to take a dip in the river - you can do that directly from the hotel garden/outdoor seating area. Our room was clean and in a quiet part of the building. There is no air conditioning but a fan was provided, which helped. Would be happy to stay again."

Bay Horse Inn - B&B
8/10 Good
"We had food in the bar. It was really good, large portions very tasty, would highly recommend. We stayed in room 7. It was clean, spacious and had everything we needed. There was no air con however. The room needed the windows open to keep the temperature down, however just outside the window was a very loud extractor fan which kept up awake. It stopped later on not exactly sure what time, but started again very early. The hosts however were lively, good craic, and did everything in their power to accommodate and ensure you had a pleasant stay. Even though that particular room had that issue it would not pur me off staying again or recommending to someone to stay."

The Beaumont Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"This is our second time staying here, it is one of our favorite hotels. The restaurant and bar are excellent, and the guest rooms are beautifully decorated. The desk staff drove us to the train station because we could not get a taxi. Great location within Hexham, next to everything."

Battlesteads Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"We booked this at the last minute as we were travelling up to the Scottish borders and wanted to break the journey due to the extreme heat. We arrived very late (about 11pm) but we had called the hotel in advance and one of the staff agreed to wait for us. When we did arrive we were greeted with a very warm welcome. Our one regret is that we didn't have time to make use of the observatory (yes you read that right!) All staff very friendly and helpful and loved the breakfast"

Riverdale Hall Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Picked this hotel as an overnight stop and was delighted with an impeccably clean, well-appointed room. Staff were very welcoming and attentive. Dinner in the restaurant was delicious, breakfast options to suit all appetites setting guests up for the day. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a base from which to explore the area"

The Railway Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"This was a good stop-over hotel. It's not conventional - just a few rooms but a well-stocked help-yourself breakfast room, and it worked well for one night and the owner, Julia, was lovely and helpful. The room was relatively small - but well appointed and tea/coffee options and bathroom toiletries were all good. It was really warm in the room which was even before the heatwave, and the blackout curtains really needed to be closed for privacy as there is no blind/net curtain which did stop the benefit from an open window, so if you have a fan, take it with you!"

Fountain Cottage Cafe and B&B
10/10 Excellent
"Perfect for our one night stopover. Room was very light and airy with plenty of space and a large shower room. Breakfast was fantastic with lots of choice. The village was lovely to walk round and we had an excellent evening meal at The Cheviot."

Slaley Hall Hotel, Spa & Golf Resort
10/10 Excellent
"Really enjoyed our stay. The grounds, room and facilities were lovely. The only slight negative for us was restricted hours for family swimming sessions but otherwise we really enjoyed it and can understand the need to please all users. The staff were superb."
