What a fantastic cottage! We spent Christmas at Shepherds Cottage and it couldn’t have been better. Extremely well equipped and very cozy. The log burning stove was the cherry on the cake. Would highly recommend for a quiet, dog friendly retreat. The hosts are lovely and very helpful.

Lovely warm comfortable cottage with great views.

Lovely warm comfortable cottage with great views. Only lack of a supportive chair prevented 5 stars for comfort. For anyone with mobility issues, take care when showering, apart from the mosaic area the floor is very slippery when wet. Wood burner was great, though we didn’t need it after the first day once the heating was on. We even had a couple of sunny afternoons to sit out. You get used to the challenging access road and the cottage is well situated for various visits and for good pubs and cafes. We would be happy to return.
