High Peak converted barn with private garden and stunning views

Situated in the High Peak on the western edge of the Peak District National Park Brow Farm Cottage is attached to the owners farmhouse which is set in 18 acres of private land with spectacular views and walks from the doorstep. The cottage benefits from its own private entrance, parking and enclosed garden. The cottage was converted from a former piggery and barn and contains much of its original character but with a fresh and modern twist. The entrance doors to the cottage lead into a stunning open hall with beamed ceiling and gallery. Off the hallway are 2 bedrooms one a double and one twin and a family bathroom containing both bath and shower cubicle. 4 steps lead down to a the open plan kitchen with electric oven and induction hob, microwave, dishwasher and utility area with washing machine. The dining area is attached to the kitchen, a comfortable family space with farmhouse table and chairs seating 6, bar stools at the breakfast bar and a sofa and TV. The ground floor benefits from underfloor heating. Doors lead out into the private enclosed garden with lawn and seating area and magnificent views reaching as far as Kinder Scout. Upstairs in the cottage on one side is the master double bedroom which has an en-suite shower room and toilet. Opposite, the galleried lounge has TV and dvd and magnificent views from the window. Wifi is available throughout the cottage. Brow Farm is set in the centre of 18 acres of private land and is home to sheep, horses, chickens, guinea pigs and the owner's 3 Labradors. The farm is only a 10 minute walk from New Mills town centre with its independent shops, pubs and cafes as well as the award winning Millenium Walkway, Torrs Riverside Park, Peak Forest Canal and the Sett Valley trail. For walkers, dogs and cyclists the cottage is ideally situated with numerous walks and rides straight from the doorstep with Kinder Scout, Chinley Head, the Goyt Valley and Edale all within easy reach. The tourist attractions of Hayfield (scene of the TV series 'The Village'), Buxton, Castleton and the plague village of Eyam are all within a 25 minute drive. The farm is a half mile walk from New Mills Central station on the Hope Valley line with links to Sheffield and Manchester. For a change of scene the vibrant and bustling city centre of Manchester with its many tourist attractions, restaurants and bars is only a 30 minute journey by train. Up to 2 well behaved dogs are welcome at Brow Farm for an additional fee of £20 per dog. Short breaks are available throughout the year.

New Mills Hidden Gem!
Our family of 5 (13,16,16, 2-adults) had a great experience! Dave and Cath we VERY responsive to all questions, and the home was perfect. They live on a great hobby farm with lots of animals to see. Perfect 5min walk to a cute small town including: grocery, meat market, coffee, and great shopping, great views, excellent hospitality (and the farm fresh eggs and brownies we delish!). For the golfers, there’s even an excellent 18 hole golf course 5 minutes away! Don’t miss out on this rental!

A lovely find
We had a lovely break with friends in this superb cottage. Beautiful location and lovely views. Lovely walks just out from the cottage over the Peaks. Cottage was spotlessly clean and well equipped, everything we wanted and more! Perfect for us and our dogs! We’d recommend the local Italian- delicious pizzas to take away. Owners were very helpful and discreet. The welcome pack included a delicious homemade lemon drizzle cake which was amazing!

Absolutely fantastic property
What an amazing property with stunning views and easy access into New Mills town centre and other locations by car or train. The hosts were friendly and welcoming and left us gifts of home made raspberry blondies and fresh eggs from the farm. The cottage was spotless, comfortable, well decorated and well equipped with everything you could possibly want during your stay. We had our family dog with us who absolutely loved the garden area and fantastic walks on your doorstep. I will definitely be back and would not hesitate in recommending to family, friends and anyone wanting to visit the Peak District. Thank you so much for your hospitality Cath and David

Perfect location for Peak District and Manchester
The cottage is very attractive, well appointed and in a lovely location. The photographs do not do either the property or views from it justice and therefore, although we were looking forward to staying there, it was a pleasant surprise that everything was even better than we had anticipated. It is light, bright and spacious and very well equipped and provides a perfect home from home. The house book provides complete information on restaurants, places to visit and also walks around the area. The walks are well worth doing as the area is beautiful and on foot is a great way to see it, as well as being a very good form of exercise with all the hills! New Mills has two train stations, with one being only ten minutes walk away at the bottom of the hill into town. In 30 minutes you can be in Manchester or in 45 minutes Sheffield. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and Dave made us feel very welcome. We hope to be back some day and can recommend it as a great place to stay without hesitation.

Perfect Stay
Brow Farm Cottage was aa excellent choice for our stay in New Mills to visit my son and daughter-in-law and their new baby. The cottage is very warm and comfortable and well equipped with everything we needed. The delicious home made cakes waiting for us on our arrival was a lovely touch. We were made to feel very welcome and will definitely return.
