"Just an overnight stay, but the room was amazing with the added bonus of aircon
Lovely well looked after restaurant and rooms. Would definitely stay here again. "
"Heather is an absolute dream of a host, nothing is too much trouble! She makes it feel like home away from home. Thank you so much Heather, you were WONDERFUL."
"We love staying here. Beautiful location. Staff very attentive and look after you at every opportunity. The rooms are spotlessly clean, spacious and comfortable."

"We booked relatively last minute for a one-night stop; this would be a good base for a longer stay. Newly-refurbished (2024/25?) it was clean throughout, comfortable in all respects. Our room was a 3rd floor (attic) room, so not much of a window and no view. We'd probably want more natural light for a longer stay, but it was fully functional, excellent en suite and cheaper than chain hotel options, so no complaints really. Staff were friendly and helpful and we were very happy to be given a token for a free first drink in the bar!!
We weren't going to order breakfast but did have the continental option in the end - good value, possibly better than the cooked option. But everything was excellently fresh and that includes the milk in the room!
Free car parking opposite the front door, but possibly not enough space if fully occupied - get there early!
All in all, recommended

"We stayed in the Treehouse Suite and it was Amazing. Secluded, fabulous accommodation, all the treehouses have hot tubs and transport to and from in a golf buggy style car ( chauffeur driven ). Everything about the hotel was faultless and there’s NOTHING we would have changed. 10/10"
"All staff were extremely friendly and down to earth. Very warm greeting by the owner on arrival introducing herself and giving a brief history of the business. Showed us around and explained how things are done with the bar, breakfast etc. even introducing us to their pet, Lionel the parrot. We were given a choice of 2 rooms to pick from. Rooms were very clean, plenty of storage area’s for your belongings. Good choice of tea, coffee etc, tall fan available to help in this warm weather. Iron & ironing board available if needed. Views were divine. Even had the option of sitting on a balcony near our room looking over the sea. They had a seating area out the front with sea view or seating area’s out the back with a large pond that had lots of fish in it.
There was a large lounge area with a big TV (next to the bar) where we were able to watch England ladies win the final! They even brought us some complimentary snacks to eat while watching.
Good choice of food for breakfast.
Will definitely be booking again hopefully in November for another family party. "
"Lovely place in the New Forest, easy to find but lives up to is name of "Retreat". Everything was really nice, bathroom was enormous with a large tub. Shower was blocked so avoided but didn't cause issues.
When we did have an issue with the door it was sorted in person straightaway. Only marked down "comfort" because the mattress was too firm, but that's each to their own. "
"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and will definitely be back soon.
Nice comfy beds and love all the traditional features of the property plus all the bear accents!
All the staff were fabulous and friendly.
Breakfast was great quality. "
Modern 2 Bedroom Caravan with Sea Views on the 5* Hoburne Naish Holiday Park
10/10 Excellent
"Not having stayed in a caravan since the 1950's! we were very impressed with how far they've come and especially with the one we booked which was decorated beautifully. We were also thankful for the phone call to say we'd left my husband's CPAP (night breathing) machine behind - we'd got as far as Winchester so had a bit of a trek back but much better than having reached the Midlands. All in all a good stay - the only down side being it was rather blustery - but otherwise a lovely site and an area that offers a lot with both sea, castles and New Forest."
