"We absolutely loved our stay at Hotel Estherea. From check-in to check-out, everything was wonderful. The hotel manages to feel quaint, elegant and full of old-world Amsterdam charm while still having all the modern amenities you want. The décor is absolutely beautiful and so thoughtfully coordinated. Sitting in the library and lobby areas almost feels like stepping back in time, but in the best possible way. Our room overlooking the canal was gorgeous, and the bed was incredibly comfortable so comfortable that my husband and I unintentionally slept until 10 a.m. one morning! 😂 We also loved the complimentary coffee and light snacks available in the lobby throughout the day. It was such a thoughtful touch and made the hotel feel even more welcoming. The staff were attentive, warm and helpful throughout our entire stay. The location was perfect for us. We loved being able to walk out of the hotel and immediately feel like we were in the heart of Amsterdam, while the hotel itself still felt intimate and peaceful. Even something as simple as sitting on the benches outside the hotel, watching people and life along the canal, became one of those little moments we really enjoyed. Hotel Estherea isn’t a generic hotel it has personality, history and warmth. Between the canal views, beautiful interiors, comfortable rooms, lovely common areas and attentive staff, it really added something special to our time in Amsterdam."

"A great value hostel for the price point! The location is excellent. I felt safe going to and from the hostel. Since it is located in the center it does get a bit loud outside sometimes. Female only Room: - Curtains for every bunk for privacy. I think these were blackout curtains too. - Clean! - The rooms are quite small, so with my locker/drawer location, every time I rolled out my drawer it blocked the door and anyone coming in. - Pillow is very flat which isn't my preference. Washroom: - Washrooms and showers are individiual rooms separate from the bunk bed room. There was 3 washrooms and 2 shower rooms. - I do wish they had more hooks for the washroom, hair dryer in every shower room, and at least one more shower room per floor. Common space: - Generally clean. The stairwell did smell damp sometimes. - Stairwell is narrow, characteristic of Dutch buildings. There is a elevator however. - Wifi was working well but I had to go through the terms/acceptance page each day I came in."
