    Great property. Although a few things fell below expectation. There were no sun loungers as pictured in promotional photographs, no cushions on wicker outdoor seats and cracks in pool tiles which caught a couple of the children. Some of the beds were extremely uncomfortable. The cleaning equipment could be upgraded- brushes and mops are not fit for purpose. Overall, we got the feeling that as the property is up for sale maybe things may have been more streamlined than usual but we had a much needed holiday and enjoyed the space. A beautiful house needing a little TLC. Set in a lovely location. Young ones enjoyed the pool and tennis court. Rooms spacious and airy. A great place for teens to go to their caves and plenty of space for groups to come together. Cleaning staff arrived unannounced a day after we had been travelling when half the group were still sleeping, This had not been arranged but there was no problem and they went away again. The gardener turned up one day with one hour's notice and had to use noisy machinery. He worked for three hours. We accept this needed to be done but if we had known in advance we would have arranged to be out to let him work without us being there.Obviously a house that has seen a great deal of care and investment over the years. We hope whoever buys it spruces it us a little and rents it out- a great place for family groups!!! Eva from Smiling Rentals was very helpful. We had arranged for some food to be there on our arrival as we were arriving late. She also gave us the number of a brilliant taxi firm to ferry us in and out of town. Very good, prompt firm and reasonably priced. Eva was on Whats App and helped us in whatever way she could. What we really liked about this property was that no one bothered us! There was help if we needed it but we could just enjoy relaxing. We have been renting villas in France and Italy for 11 years. This was our first time to the Basque country- beautiful countryside, lovely people. We could not get over how courteous the drivers were - driving was a pleasure.Food shopping much cheaper than at home or in France or Italy! Everyone we met was friendly. We often dined at Restaurant 33- reasonable, courteous staff and something on the menu to cover all tastes. Home and Away and Smiling Rentals - great companies to deal with. Thank you Jesus Kriado and Eva!!!…
